Roundabout Theatre Company presents the first-ever New York revival of Alfred Uhry and Robert Waldman's musical comedy THE ROBBER BRIDEGROOM. The production is currently in previews Off-Broadway and opens officially on March 13, 2016 at the Laura Pels Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 West 46th Street). This will be a limited engagement through May 29, 2016. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action here!

Parenthood reunion alert!! Lauren Graham and Peter Krause swung by THE MYSTERY OF LOVE AND SEX to wish Mae Whitman good luck on her opening night! Award-winning playwright Bathsheba Doran's heartfelt new work, THE MYSTERY OF LOVE & SEX, opened last night, February 21, 2016, at the Center Theatre Group/Mark Taper Forum and continues through March 20. ECLIPSED marks a historic moment on Broadway: the first time the cast, director, and playwright are composed entirely of female artists, fitting for a production that so stunningly chronicles the experiences of a group of very resilient women. To celebrate, the show hosted some of the industry's other trailblazing and history-making women for the first preview. Broadway's new musical comedy Disaster! is currently in previews at the Nederlander Theatre (208 West 41st Street), directed by Jack Plotnick with a book by three-time Emmy Award nominee and Grammy Award nominee Seth Rudetsky and Jack Plotnick. Disaster! officially opens on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 for a limited engagement through Sunday, July 3, 2016. BroadwayWorld brings you photos of the cast in action here!

The highly anticipated Broadway revival of Eugene O'Neill's HUGHIE starring Academy Award winner, Golden Globe Award winner & BAFTA winner Forest Whitaker (The Last King of Scotland, The Butler, Southpaw) and Tony Award winner Frank Wood (Side Man, Angels In America, Clybourne Park), officially opened last night, February 25, 2016, at Broadway's Booth Theatre (222 West 45 Street). Directed by Tony Award winner and Olivier Award winner Michael Grandage (Photograph 51, Red, Frost/Nixon), HUGHIE will play a strictly limited engagement. On February 22nd, ABC's "Nashville" actor Kyle Dean Massey and other outstanding writers, performers and digital creators from Broadway, television, film and other mediums came together for the Broadway Unlocked #giveback concert - an interactive, livestreamed benefit concert celebrating the work of the Crime Victims Treatment Center (CVTC) of Mount Sinai West and St. Luke's Hospitals and Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA) in Kansas City, MO. This past Monday, the BROADWAY SINGS concert series presented its 10th show withBroadway Sings Billy Joel. A cast of 20 Broadway stars sang completely new arrangements of the Piano Man's greatest hits. The performers were accompanied by a jazz orchestra playing original orchestrations. Previous artists honored in the series include Adele,Michael Jackson, Beyoncé, and Sara Bareilles. On Sunday, April 10th, the series will present Broadway SingsWhitney Houston. On 23 February 2016) at the Aldwych Theatre the Olivier, Tony and Grammy award-winning Beautiful - TheCarole King Musical celebrated its first birthday in the West End. Celebrations included marking the February birthdays of Carole King, Barry Mann and the late Gerry Goffin, as well as the 45th anniversary of when King's Grammy- award winning album Tapestry was released. The Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present NY1 theater journalist Frank DiLella in the third episode of his new talk show, "Show Biz After Hours with Frank DiLella." Frank's very special guest stars were ten-time Tony Award-winner Tommy Tune, Tony nominee Stephanie J. Block, ON THE TOWN star Alysha Umphress, and tap dance duo Clay Thompson and Christopher Rice. The Dramatists Guild of America presented their annual awards on Monday, February 22, 2016, at The American Airlines Theatre Penthouse Lobby in New York. Preceding the awards event was the ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony of the new Mary Rodgers Room at the Guild's 1501 Broadway office. Click here for more photos!
