Just in time to cure the post-midterm-election blues, Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts will present D.C.'s funniest singing comedians, The Capitol Steps, on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 28-29.

Tickets start at $49 and are available through www.ScottsdalePerformingArts.org or 480-499-TKTS (8587).

Returning for their annual Thanksgiving pilgrimage to Scottsdale, The Capitol Steps plan to bring down the House ... and Senate ... with their unique blend of sharp political satire set to popular music. The irreverent troupe pokes fun at all sides of the issues, from left to right, with fresh, up-to-the-minute material inspired by the latest headlines, scandals, election results and more.

The Steps' performance will include songs from their latest album, How to Succeed in Congress Without Really Lying (2014), with possible "guest appearances" by Barack Obama, Edward Snowden, Vladimir Putin, Marco Rubio, Harry Reid, Mitch McConnell, Pope Francis, Kate Middleton and Chris Christie, among many others, all onstage and singing show tunes!

The Capitol Steps began in 1981 as a Christmas party skit in the office of former Senator Charles Percy. The rest is history. During the past three decades, the Steps have recorded more than 30 albums, performed for five U.S. presidents and appeared on Good Morning America, The Today Show, 20/20, Entertainment Tonight, Nightline, CNN's Inside Politics and dozens of times on National Public Radio's All Things Considered.
