Love was in the air when Ben Higgins, star of ABC's The Bachelor, stopped by Children's Hospital Los Angeles on Friday, February 12 to join in on the Valentine's Day celebrations.

It didn't take long for word to spread that the handsome Colorado resident, who's currently looking for a mate on the hit reality dating show, was in the house. Higgins, a true gentleman, made sure every person he met received a red rose - his signature calling card on the show.

"I give these to people I like," he told patient Yvette Mollet, 10, as he handed her a red rose and a small gift bag with a red heart-shaped mylar balloon attached.

Higgins took time visiting with patients, families and staff on the hospital's fourth floor. He also passed out Valentine's Day cards that friends and supporters had sent to patients via the hospital's online Valentine's Day card drive campaign. More than 21,000 cards were printed, laminated and distributed hospital-wide by staff and volunteers on Friday.
