A six-time published author and now accomplished songwriter/composer, Monte Schulz, son of Snoopy/Peanuts creator Charles M. Schulz, carries on his father's appreciation for music and his talent for storytelling, with his new musical project, Seraphonium. On Friday, November 20, 2015, Schulz will debut his album "After Many a Summer," which features seventy-three accomplished musicians - a venerate Who's Who of the Santa Barbara and Los Angeles music communities. This live benefit concert, supporting AHA!, will unite over forty of these performers for a one-night only show in Santa Barbara.

The Santa Barbara music scene is buzzing with this show, an unprecedented symphony of the community's top musical talent. Schulz says, "My songs chase melodies across genres - from rock to pop, classical to folk to world music, and I'm honored these world class musicians are coming for one night to perform them together on one stage."

Musician/Producer Brian Mann (Kenny Loggins) says "Monte has a combination of great talent, intelligence, a heart of gold, true musical and lyrical gifts, wisdom and wise instincts... his Seraphonium is music at a higher level. I love working on these songs."

John Lancaster, keyboard player for the Gary Allan Band, described "A Song of You," track #1 on the album, as "a sonic masterpiece."

The extraordinary talent of Seraphonium musicians and producers for this record include singers and musicians from Kenny Loggins, Santana, Supertramp, Madonna, Cache Valley Drifters, Chris Hillman Band, Mary Wilson, Tom Ball & Kenny Sultan, Jeff Bridges & the Abiders, Yanni and the Doobie Brothers, among many others.

Of this project, Monte says, "I started my creative life as a songwriter and musician. I later became a literary writer, but over the years, music stayed in me, and once my books were published, I returned to songwriting and began recording with the help of the amazing, creative, and technical people that brought life to this project I call Seraphonium."

"After Many a Summer" is available on iTunes and on Amazon. Seraphonium's debut concert will be at the Marjorie Luke Theater, 721 East Cota this Friday, November 20, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at Seraphonium.com for $15, with all proceeds benefitting AHA!, a non-profit organization committed to transforming the world by empowering teens to create peaceful and connected communities.

One AHA! teen singer, Ben Anderson Flores, will get his musical chance of a lifetime when he takes the stage to sing one of the songs with the local music greats.

Seraphonium is on Facebook and follow Monte and his lyrical tweets on Twitter @monteschulz.

Monte's musical momentum moves on as Seraphonium continues to record new songs for a follow-up CD due in early 2016.
