From stand-up comedy to film and television, Sarah Silverman has made her comedy mark on the entertainment world. She lent her voice to the hugely popular Comedy Central show "Crank Yankers" and starred in Paramount's The School of Rock, opposite Jack Black, Mike White, and Joan Cusack. She will make her Ridgefield Playhouse debut on Saturday, September 14, at 8 p.m. where she will be in her element, on the stage up-close-and-personal. Special guest is TV, film and radio comedian Kyle Dunnigan of Comedy Central fame. Because the folks at Clark Construction Company believe in the power of laughter, this show is part of the Clark Construction Comedy Series with media sponsor i95.1fm The Home of Rock 'n' Roll.

A comedienne, writer and actress, Sarah Silverman's satirical comedy addresses social taboos and controversial topics such as racism, sexism and religion. Sarah has guest starred in a slew of acclaimed and notable shows, such as "The Larry Sanders Show", "Seinfeld", "Mr. Show with Bob and David", "Star Trek Voyager" and "Jag". She also starred in the wildly popular self-titled show on Comedy Central " The Sarah Silverman Show", where she played a character named Sarah Silverman whose absurd daily life is told through an array of scripted scenes and songs. In each episode, Sarah manages to fall into unique, sometimes unsettling and always hilarious predicaments, with her sister and her geeky gay neighbors always by her side.

Sarah Silverman's list of television guest appearances is impressive -- "Saturday Night Live" (writer/performer), "Frasier" and "Monk". In the words of someone who attended one of Sarah Silverman's acts recently, "What's great and refreshing is she still has a few surprises up her sleeves! It was an honor to witness a true comedic icon."
