Rover Dramawerks is pleased to partner with Dallas-based AmeriStage Players to present It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play, by Joe Landry. Performances will be at Rover's theatre in Plano, located in Ruisseau Village at 221 W. Parker Rd, Suite 580, at the northwest corner of Parker and 75. Performances are Fridays, December 11 and 18 at 8:00 p.m., Saturdays, December 12 and 19 at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., and Sundays, December 13 and 20 at 2:00 p.m. Plus a special 2:00 p.m. matinee performance on Christmas Eve, December 24.

Rover and AmeriStage present the beloved American holiday classic as it comes to captivating life as a live 1940s radio broadcast. With the help of an ensemble that brings a few dozen characters to the stage, along with live sound effects, the story of idealistic George Bailey unfolds as he considers ending his life one fateful Christmas Eve.

The cast includes Andrew Kasten as George Bailey and Nikki Cloer as Mary, with Brian Bentley, Jennifer Duggins, and Jason Rice playing all of the other roles. Jeff Fenter serves as director as well as providing all the live sound effects, with Janet Behning on piano, bringing Scott A. Eckert's custom compositions to life. Darcy Koss serves as stage manager, with Lindsey Humphries providing the 1940s costume design.

Tickets for It's a Wonderful Life are $22.00 Friday and Saturday nights and the Christmas Eve show, and $16.00 for the Saturday and Sunday matinees. Thursday, December 10 is preview, with all seats $10.00 in advance online or "pay-what-you-can" at the door.

Tickets for It's a Wonderful Life may be ordered online at www.roverdramawerks.com, and while this bonus holiday show isn't included in Rover Dramawerks' SWEET 16 Season, subscription packages for the remainder of the season are also available.
