Ridgefield Playhouse to Host Comedy Workshop Graduation Showcase, 5/4

Spend Sunday morning, May 4, with some very funny people at the Comedy Workshop Graduation Showcase at The Ridgefield Playhouse at 11 a.m. This is where the rubber hits the road for aspiring comedians who will have graduated from Christine O'Leary's Stand Up Comedy Workshop, which began in March. The graduates were brave and are now equipped with the tools to be funny, and they will perform the comedy sets they developed during the eight-week long program. This is a unique opportunity to "discover" someone who is about to make it big!

Part teacher and part coach, Christine O'Leary is an award-winning professional comedian/social worker, project manager, social media editor and co-dependent social butterfly who wants everyone to be happy. Her off-the-cuff interactions and improv are the forte of her comedy, and storytelling is her crafted skill. She urges people to attend the Comedy Graduation Showcase "...to see these hysterical newborn comics who had more guts than you did eight weeks ago when they signed up! Comedy is a way to tell the truth."

For tickets ($10), call the box office at The Ridgefield Playhouse, (203) 438-5795. The Ridgefield Playhouse is a not-for-profit performing arts center located at 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main Street, Ridgefield, CT; ridgefieldplayhouse.org.
