Rhyme Town to Return to 59E59 Theaters in THE CITY THAT CRIED WOLF

59E59 Theaters welcomes the return of Rhyme Town when THE CITY THAT CRIED WOLF, written by Brooks Reeves and directed by Leta Tremblay, returns for State of Play Productions' 10th Anniversary season. THE CITY THAT CRIED WOLF begins performances on Friday, November 18 for a limited engagement through Sunday, December 11. Press opening is Wednesday, November 23 at 7:30 PM.

The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7:30 PM; Friday at 8:30 PM; Saturday at 2:30 PM & 8:30 PM; and Sunday at 3:30 PM. Please note, there is no performance on Thursday, November 24 at 7:30pm. Performances are at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison Avenues). Corruption, passion, and betrayal is served up with a side of scrambled eggs as Jack tracks down the criminal mastermind behind the murder of Councilman Humpty Dumpty. This noir detective story featuring Rhyme Town's favorite inhabitants, called an "ingenious, comical, suspenseful mystery" by the Financial Times, returns to 59E59 Theaters for the 10th Anniversary for State of Play.

The cast features Holly Chou (Sean Graney's These Seven Sicknesses at The Flea); Michelle Concha (Window Shadows with The PanAsian Theatre); Dalton T. Davis (An Apartment In Purgatory at Hudson Guild Theater); Adam La Faci (Mrs. Mayfield's 5th Grade Class Reunion with Caps Lock Theatre); Gwen Sisco (Cupid & Psyche with The Barrow Group), Rebecca Spiro (Archie Loves Nathan at Hangar Theatre); and Dalles Wilie (bare: a pop opera at The York Theater).

The design team includes Greg Stevens (set design); Jake Fine (lighting design); Angela Borst(costume design); and Jeanne Travis (sound design). The choreographer is Lina Sarello. The Production Stage Manager is Terry Kitagawa.

Leta Tremblay (director) has presented work at 59E59 Theaters, Cherry Lane Theatre, EST/Youngblood, the Eugene O'Neill National Theater Center, Access Theater, Galapagos Art Space, Manhattan Theatre Source, the Kraine Theater, the Paradise Factory, the Brick, FringeNYC, IRT Theater, the Gym at Judson, the Secret Theatre, littlefield, Jimmy's No. 43, and site specifically. Recent directing: The Belief Project(IRT, FullStop Collective), Mrs. Mayfield's Fifth Grade Class of '93 20-Year Reunion (immersive site-specific production with Caps Lock Theatre), {my lingerie play}: Installation 9/10: THE FINAL INSTALLATION (EST, All For One, The Paradise Factory), Diana Oh IS GOING ROGUE, the solo show(terraNOVA Collective), Cause of Failure (The Kraine Theater, FullStop Collective, FringeNYC 2012), The Foreplay Play (Caps Lock Theatre), Othello (The Secret Theatre, Wandering Bark), Snow White Zombie(2010 EstroGenius Festival), Hangman School for Girls (Manhattan Theatre Source), and The City That Cried Wolf (59E59 Theaters, State of Play Productions). Brooks Reeves (playwright). Brooks' work has appeared in the WORD festival (Hand of God) and the New York International Fringe Festival and 59E59 Theaters (The City That Cried Wolf). Additionally as a performer, Brooks has performed in Wyoming, Northern Colorado, and Western Massachusetts. Previous roles include Howie in Rabbit Hole, Bertie Wooster in By Jeeves, Valentine and Bernard in separate productions of Arcadia, and Phil in the premiere of William Missouri Downs' production of Cockeyed. He made his Boston debut with Bad Habit Productions as Harris, Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde. He also performs as an itinerant stand-up comedian.
