Oh, That Angry Inch! Meet the Full Cast 'HEDWIG', Beginning Previews Tomorrow!

Neil Patrick Harris will return to Broadway in the new production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, the musical with book by John Cameron Mitchell and music and lyrics by Stephen Trask, directed by Michael Mayer. The limited engagement, featuring Lena Hall (Kinky Boots, lead singer of The Deafening), will begin previews tomorrow, Saturday, March 29 for a Tuesday, April 22 opening night at the Belasco Theatre (111 West 44th Street). The creative team for Hedwig and the Angry Inch features Emmy Award nominee Spencer Liff (musical staging), Drama Desk Award winner Julian Crouch (scenic design), two-time Oscar nominee Arianne Phillips (costume design), three-time Tony Award winner Kevin Adams (lighting design), Mike Potter (hair and makeup design), platinum-selling record producer Timothy O'Heir (sound design),Benjamin Pearcy for 59 Productions (projection design), James Calleri (casting), Tony and Grammy Award nominee Ethan Popp (music supervisor & music coordinator), Justin Craig (music director), Liz Caplan (vocal supervision), and Stephen Gabis (dialect coach).

The members of "The Angry Inch," Hedwig's band - his "ambassadors of Eastern Bloc rock" - will be music director Justin Craig (guitar and keyboards), Matt Duncan (bass), Tim Mislock (guitar), and Peter Yanowitz (drums).

"Internationally ignored song stylist" Hedwig Robinson (Neil Patrick Harris) brings her fourth-wall-smashing rock and roll saga to New York to set the record straight about her life, her loves, and the botched operation that left her with that "angry inch."

NEIL PATRICK HARRIS
HEDWIG

Equally successful on stage and screen, Neil Patrick Harris currently stars as Barney Stinson in the hit CBS television series, "How I Met Your Mother," a role which has garnered him multiple Emmy and Golden Globe Award nominations. Harris is a four-time Emmy Award winner for his guest-starring role on "Glee," and as host of the 63rd, 65th, and 66th Annual Tony Awards. He also served as host and producer of the 61st and 65th Primetime Emmy Awards, as well as the 67th Annual Tony Awards.

From his film debut opposite Whoopi Goldberg in Clara's Heart and his seminal role as the beloved titular character in "Doogie Howser, M.D.," to his roles in the Harold & Kumar and The Smurfs franchise films, Harris has enjoyed a successful career spanning more than 25 years in the industry. He is currently in production on David Fincher's highly-anticipated feature film, Gone Girl, opposite Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike, based on the hugely successful novel by Gillian Flynn. Neil also recently wrapped filming on the upcoming comedy feature, A Million Ways to Die in the West, starring Seth MacFarlane, Charlize Theron, Liam Neeson, Amanda Seyfried, and Sarah Silverman.

In addition to his numerous film and television credits, Harris has also enjoyed success in the theater. He tackled the leading role of Bobby in the New York Philharmonic's recent concert staging of Stephen Sondheim's Company. Additionally, Harris has starred in three Broadway productions, including the dual role of The Balladeer/Lee Harvey Oswald in the Tony Award-winning production of Assassins. Harris made his Broadway debut as Anne Heche's unexpected suitor in Proof, and he later starred as the exuberant emcee in Cabaret at Studio 54. Among Harris' other theatrical credits include Amadeus(LA Philharmonic); All My Sons (Geffen Theater); tick, tick...BOOM!(Menier Chocolate Factory); The Paris Letter (Kirk Douglas Theater);Sweeney Todd (San Francisco Symphony Orchestra); Romeo and Juliet (Old Globe Theater); and Rent (Los Angeles touring production).

Harris most recently mixed his love of magic and theater in directingNothing to Hide, which is currently in previews at the Pershing Square Signature Center in New York, following its lauded run at the Geffen Theater in Los Angeles. He made his musical directorial debut with a production of Rent at the Hollywood Bowl, and he also served as director of I Am Grock (El Portal Theater) and The Expert at the Card Table (Ediburgh Fringe Festival and Broad Stage Theater).

LENA HALL
YITZHAK

Lena Hall is currently starring as Nicola in the Tony Award-winning musical Kinky Boots. Previous Broadway and Off-Broadway roles include starring in the award winning Toxic Avenger at New World Stages, Tarzan (Original Cast), Dracula (Original Cast), 42nd Street(Anytime Annie), Cats (Demeter), Bedbugs (NYMF) and Green Eyes(Fringe). TV and Film roles include "Young Miranda" in the Sex and the City film, The Stepford Wives, The Graduates, "All My Children" and "Legally Blonde, the Search for the Next Elle Woods."

Born and raised in San Francisco, CA; Lena Hall traveled the world performing and received her first big break singing for Pope John Paul II at Candlestick Stadium for over 50,000 people at the young age of 7. Hall was a member of the Young People's Teen Musical Theatre Company in San Francisco and at the age of 17, joined the national tour of Cats. When not on the Broadway stage, Lena performs with her band The Deafening.

JUSTIN CRAIG
GUITAR, KEYBOARDS, VOCALS

Justin Craig is a musician, record producer, composer, and now Broadway music director based in Brooklyn, NY. Born in Lexington, KY, he grew up music obsessed, picking up the guitar at age 12, and starting his recording career at 17 working with producer Duane Lundy. Years spent on the road as a member of numerous touring bands honed his skills as a player, and studio work led him to collaborating with countless artists spanning all genres of music.

MATT DUNCAN
BASS, GUITAR, KEYBOARD, VOCALS

Matt Duncan is a singer/songwriter, producer, and bass player from Lexington, Kentucky. Although he's best known for his smooth, slightly skewed take on classic R&B, he got his start in the community center basements of DIY punk. His most recent release, Soft Times, landed on numerous 2013 "best of" lists.

TIM MISLOCK
GUITAR, VOCALS

Tim Mislock makes his Broadway debut in Hedwig. Hailing from Northern Virginia, Tim moved to Brooklyn to "do something with music." After interning at Headgear Studios, he took the leap that would make music his career. For the past several years, Tim has recorded and toured with The Antlers and Holly Miranda, as well as performed solo under the moniker Abandoned Lighthouse. He would like to thank his family and friends for their endless support.

PETER YANOWITZ
DRUMS, VOCALS

Peter Yanowitz was a founding member of theWallflowers. He played drums on 3 of Natalie Merchant's most successful solo records (Tigerlily,Ophelia, and Live on Broadway) w/ record sales totaling over 10 million. He then went on to songwriting, switching to bass, and starting the NYC band Morningwood, which made 2 records for Capitol records. Other artists Yanowitz has played and recorded w/ include Yoko Ono,Wilco, Allen Ginsberg, Nina Nastasia, & Hand of Doom. Currently he is the drummer of NYC band Exclamation Pony w/ Ryan Jarman.
