NBC's THE VOICE is #1 Show by 38% Margin

NBC is currently #1 Tuesday night in adults 18-49, led by the #1 show of the night, "The Voice," along with week-to-week growth for "About a Boy" and "Growing Up Fisher" and a tie for #1 at 10 p.m. for "Chicago Fire," pending updates. It's a record 20th time NBC has finished #1 or tied for #1 Tuesday night among the Big 4 networks this season in 18-49, adding to the network's record for most Tuesday wins among those nets in People Meter history (dating back to September 1987).

"The Voice" (2.9/10 in 18-49, 11.6 million viewers overall from 8-9:01 p.m. ET) ranks as the #1 show of the night in adults 18-49 and is #1 in its time period among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 and other key measures. "The Voice" is currently up week to week by +4% versus last week's 2.8 in these preliminary fast nationals and even with last week's 2.9 in official nationals. In total viewers, "The Voice" is up week to week by +5% (11.598 vs. 11.085 in last week's official nationals). "The Voice" grew substantially from half-hour to half-hour in all key measures, including a gain of +15% in adults 18-49 (to a 3.1 rating from a 2.7).

"The Voice" was the #1 show of the night on the Big 4 nets by a 38% margin (with a 2.9 rating vs. a 2.1 each for CBS's two "CSIs").

"About a Boy" (1.9/6 in 18-49, 7.2 million viewers overall from 9:01-9:31 p.m. ET) is up +12% week to week despite special competition this week from ABC's "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." In total viewers, "Boy" advanced week to week by 5% (7.226 million vs 6.866 million) to a three-week high, pending updates. In the time period, "About a Boy" tied for #1 among the Big 4 nets in women 18-49 (2.3 rating).

"Growing Up Fisher" (1.6/5 in 18-49, 6.1 million viewers overall from 9:31-10 p.m. ET) grew +7% week to week despite special competition this week from ABC's "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." "Fisher" retained 84% of its lead-in from "About a Boy" in adults 18-49, 90% in adults 18-34 (with a 1.0 rating vs. a 1.1) and 100% in men 18-34 (0.8 vs. 0.8). In total viewers, "Fisher" increased week to week by +10% (6.084 million vs 5.543 million) to a three-week high. In the time period, "Growing Up Fisher" ranked #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in total viewers, women 18-49 and women 25-54.

"Chicago Fire" (1.7/5 in 18-49, 7.0 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) tied for #1 in the 10 p.m. hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, pending updates, and is #1 outright among those nets in adults 18-34, as well as women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54.

"Chicago Fire" ranked #1 or tied for #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in the slot for its seventh consecutive original telecast, pending updates.


In Late-Night Metered Markets Tuesday night:

In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.4/6 with an encore telecast; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.4/6 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.7/4 with an encore.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.9/5 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.5/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3 with an encore.

From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/4 in metered-market households with an encore) tied CBS's first-run "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.2/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2).

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
