NBC's AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR Ties Its Season High in 18-49

NBC's "AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR" (1.9/7 in 18-49, 6.5 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET): Ties its season high in adults 18-49 and ties as the #1 telecast of the night on the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 (1.9 each for "Ninja" and ABC's 8-10 p.m. telecast of "Bachelorette") and is #1 outright for the night on those nets in adults 25-54 and all key adult-male demos.

Grows +6% week to week in 18-49 (1.9 vs. 1.8 from 8-10 p.m. on June 20) and wins the time period in adults 18-49 and nearly every other key measure.

Will add substantial viewership via time-shifting and VOD - So far this summer, "American Ninja Warrior" has grown by +26% going from L+SD to L+7 in 18-49 rating (from a 1.67 to a 2.10) and 1.2 million viewers overall (6.1 million to 7.3 million).

"U.S. Olympic Trials: Swimming" (1.2/5 in 18-49, 5.2 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET): Ranks #2 among the Big 4 in the time period in adults 18-49 and ties for #1 among those nets in men 18-49 and men 25-54.

Grows from half-hour to half-hour in every key measure, including gains of +18% in adults 18-49 (1.1 to 1.3), +13% in adults 25-54 (1.5 to 1.7) and +12% in women 25-54 (1.7 to 1.9).

For the Week: With "America's Got Talent" ranking #1 for the week among primetime telecasts on the Big 4 networks and "American Ninja Warrior," "Spartan: Ultimate Team Challenge," "Maya & Marty," "The Night Shift" and three Olympic Trials broadcasts ranking among the top 25, NBC has won the primetime ratings week of June 20-26 among those networks in adults 18-49 and other key demographics, according to "live plus same day" figures from Nielsen Media Research.

While "Talent" ranked #1 for the week on the Big 4 in adults 18-49, Monday's "Ninja" finished #4, Monday's "Spartan" tied for #10, Sunday's Women's Gymnastics Championships ranked #12, Wednesday's "Ninja" encore, Tuesday's "Maya & Marty" and Sunday's swimming Olympics Trials tied for #16 and Wednesday's "Night Shift" and Friday's Women's Gymnastics Championships tied for #23.

"Talent" was also the #1 Big 4 primetime telecast of the week in total viewers, adults 25-54, women 25-54, all key adult-male demos, teens 12-17 and kids 2-11.

In total viewers, "Talent" outscored the #2 Big 4 telecast of the week by +3.6 million persons (11.7 million vs. 8.1 million for ABC's #2 "$100,000 Pyramid").

For the week, NBC maintained 100% of its year-ago rating in adults 18-49 and most other key demographics and grew +2% versus the same week last year in total viewers (4.6 million vs. 4.5 million).

NBC ranked #1 or tied for #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX for the week in adults 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, women 18-49, women 25-54 and all key adult-male demos.

Excluding ABC weeks during the NBA Playoffs, NBC has outrated every Big 4 network every week so far this summer in adults 18-49.

Season to date, NBC is running within 0.1 of a rating point of Super Bowl-boosted CBS in the race for #1 among adults 18-49 and is tied for #1 in adults 18-34.

NBC's total-viewer average of 7.838 million is the network's highest at this point in a season without a SUPER BOWL or Olympic boost since 2006-07 (8.506 million).
