The Morrison Center will be presenting several events throughout the 2010-2011 Season. It is located on 1910 University Drive, Boise, Idaho, 83725. Arrive early to make your experience more enjoyable. A new parking fee and campus construction projects may cause parking delays this season. On August 6, at 8PM, the Morrison Center will host the International Language of Laughter, amulti-cultural adult comedy event featuring Aries Spears of Mad TV, Edwin San Juan, Momo Rodriguez, and Eric Schwartz. Hosted by Boise's own, Sherry Japhet. This comedy event is a kick-off for the Boise Soul Food Extravaganza.

These artists have made a name for themselves in LA's vast comedy circuit with performances at comedy's most profound venues such as The Improv, The Ice House, The Laugh Factory, and The Ha Ha Cafe. On Friday, August 6th, 2010 they will be bringing every trick, joke, and impersonation to the Morrison Center. With each artist performing a twenty-five minute set, two hours will never seEm Longer, and every soul will be fed with laughter.

RECOMMENDED FOR MATURE AUDIENCES. CONTAINS ADULT LANGUAGE AND SUBJECT MATTER. Tickets are $27 + fees. They can be purchased online or by calling the Morrison Center Box Office at (208) 426-1110.

From September 25-26, as part of Broadway in Boise, the Morrison Center will be presenting THE COLOR PURPLE. It is a soul-stirring musical based on the classic Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Alice Walker and the moving film by Steven Spielberg. It is the unforgettable and inspiring story of a woman named Celie, who finds her unique voice in the world. Nominated for eleven Tony® Awards, The Color Purple is a landmark theatrical event, a celebration of love, and a Broadway phenomenon. With a joyous GRAMMY®-nominated score featuring jazz, gospel and blues, The Color Purple is capturing the hearts of young and old.

Tickets can be bought online or by calling the box office at 208-426-1110. Tickets are $48, $40.50 & $28. For students in college and younger, tickets are $15, seating in the upper level only. For seniors, tickets are $38 & $30.50, seating in the matinee only. The musical will be shown on September 25 at 3:00 and 8:00 PM, and on September 26 at 2:00 PM.
