Mad Cat Theatre Company and The Gleason Room backstage at the Fillmore, supported by The City of Miami Beach, present four-nights of stand-up comedy and original works by Miami's own home-grown companies.

Wednesday, April 6th kicks off the festival with the local stand-up comedy group The Have-Nots, Thursday night features local theatre group The Project [theatre] with their new piece SOUND BITE: SOUTH BEACH, Friday night local Improv giant Villain Theater presents their Improv musical show The Miami Noise Machine, Saturday night ends the festival with Mad Cat Theatre Company's world premiere comedy Why Not? with Richard Nixon.

This homegrown comedy event features four days jam-packed with local acts producing new works and lots of laughs.


Wednesday April 6th:

THE HAVE-NOTS

From their underdog beginnings in dive bars to being named "Best Comedy Venue" by Miami New Times, The Have-Nots continue their comedic rise by keeping their fans at the heart of everything they do. Thursday April 7th:

THE PROJECT [theatre] presents SOUND BITE: SOUTH BEACH

Every night has a story. SOUND BITE: SOUTH BEACH is your night to slip on a pair of headphones and immerse yourself in the story of the hottest club on South Beach. Listen up while you buy drinks at the bar, let loose on the dance floor, and get down with sounds provided by Silent Revolution Events. From the pre-game til the morning after walk of shame, The Project [theatre] is taking you behind the velvet rope and through an experience you may not remember but you'll never forget.

Friday April 8th:

VILLAIN THEATER presents THE MIAMI NOISE MACHINE

The Miami Noise Machine takes a suggestion from the audience and turns it into a full musical on the spot! Each character, song and dance number is entirely made up with a live accompanist on keys.

Villain is Miami's first improv theater dedicated to the art of Chicago-style long form improvisation, brought to you by Artistic Director Jeff Quintana and co-founder Peter Mir.

MAD CAT THEATRE COMPANY presents WHY NOT? WITH RICHARD NIXON

Richard Nixon hosts a late night talk show where he interviews three current presidential candidates about what the presidency means to them. What. The f-k. Is going on.

Mad Cat Theatre Company producers of original work and new takes on old classics, are now in their 16th season. Now located in Miami Shores as resident theatre company of Miami Theater Center.
