Acclaimed band Lucius performed their track "Gone Insane" on "Late Night with Seth Meyers." Watch the performance here!

The song, which appears on their critically praised album Good Grief, stems from a rare bout between the band's co-frontwomen.

"Some songs really feel like an expulsion of emotions, beyond your control..." vocalist Holly Laessig explains. Vocalist Jess Wolfe recounts the day the duo recorded the track, "...emotions were running high, and at some point Holly blew up at me. In shock, I yelled back and we both stormed off... a short while later, she returned, we both apologized, and immediately went in to record. It was just the two of us in the dark. There was no plan for vocal arrangement, we wanted to use the intensity of the moment and go for it. It was a magical musical moment, that you can't quite explain."

The band embarks on their Good Grief fall tour this week with stops in Nashville, New Orleans, San Francisco, Houston and more. Recently, Wolfe and Laessig performed with Roger Waters and his band at Desert Trip music festival. See below for complete tour dates.

Lucius will release the Pulling Teeth 10-inch on November 25. The 10-inch features two new tracks, "Pulling Teeth" and "The Punisher," with a hand-drawn etching on the B-side. Pulling Teeth is available for pre-order now at ilovelucius.com.

Lucius is led by its co-founders and vocalists Wolfe and Laessig accompanied by multi-instrumentalists Peter Lalish and Dan Molad. You can purchase Good Grief at ilovelucius.com.
