Insult comic Lisa Lampanelli will perform at the Treasure Island Theater Friday, February 10 at 9 p.m.

Lampanelli grew up watching the Dean Martin roasts on television and has said that she never saw stand-up comedy until after she began performing herself. She got her big break in 2002 as the only female comedian invited to the New York Friars Club roast of Chevy Chase. Since then, she has roasted Jeff Foxworthy, Pamela Anderson, Flavor Flav, William Shatner and Donald Trump. (Lampanelli was one of the final four of the fifth season of "Celebrity Apprentice.") She served as roastmaster for Larry the Cable Guy and frequently participates in "The Howard Stern Show" roasts.

An "equal opportunity offender," Lampanelli is known for her racy and racially charged use of insults, slurs and stereotypes. As Jim Carrey describes her, "By boldly poking fun at everyone, Lisa releases us from a prison of cultural guilt. She's more than a standup. She's a standout."

"Famously filthy" Lampanelli's stand-up routine has grown more personal in recent years, including stories about her recent 100-pound weight loss and divorce. This shift was captured in her fifth stand-up special, "Back to the Drawing Board," for which she was nominated for her second Grammy Award for "Best Comedy Album."

Lampanelli began her career writing for Rolling Stone and Popular Mechanics, and she still writes periodically today. She released her autobiography "Chocolate, Please: My Adventures in Food, Fat and Freaks" in 2009. She recently wrote and starred in "Stuffed," an off-Broadway play inspired by her weight loss. A limited run of the show opened in October at WP Theater in New York City.

Tickets are available starting at $59.95, plus taxes and service charges, and can be purchased by calling 866-712-9308 or 702-894-7722, or visiting www.treasureisland.com.
