A handful of tickets remain to experience "The Rant is Due" with none other than brilliant comic Lewis Black, Grammy Award-winning stand-up comedian, at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Sunday, September 7, at 8 p.m

. One of today's most prolific and popular performers, Black came into national prominence with his appearances on "The Daily Show" in 1996. Those exhibitions led to comedy specials on HBO, Comedy Central, Showtime and Epix. In 2001, Black won Best Male Stand-Up at the American Comedy Awards. Bissell House (378 Main St., Ridgefield) is offering a free glass of house wine or draught beer with dinner the night of this show when tickets/stubs are presented.

This event is part of the Clark Construction Comedy Series. For tickets ($95), call the box office at 203-438-5795, or visit ridgefieldplayhouse.org. The Ridgefield Playhouse is a non-profit performing arts center located at 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main Street, Ridgefield, CT.
