The Laguna Playhouse is going to continue its Rock 'N Roll Summer by presenting the musical sounds of Motown in MOTORCITY MAGIC - A Musical Journey Through the Motown Years, directed by Michael Yorkell! MOTORCITY MAGIC will perform two weeks only - Wednesday, August 13 through Sunday, August 24 at the Laguna Playhouse, 606 N. Laguna Canyon Rd. in Laguna Beach.

Following the smash-hit production of BUDDY, The Buddy Holly Story, the Playhouse is going to bring our audiences the unforgettable songs of Motown. MOTORCITY MAGIC features fabulous male harmonies, stunning female vocals and a supremely-talented 7-piece back-up band. This fast-moving production honors the Motown legends that brought the world to its dancing feet. With the music of the Four Tops, Supremes, Temptations, Jackson 5, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Lionel Richie, Diana Ross, Isley Brothers, Mary Wells and many more.

This dynamic and driving tribute spans more than a decade of Motown classics - every one of the songs performed are among the most recognizable and culture-defining songs in pop music history. The show features the great harmonies and choreographed dance steps of the era and features a 7 piece back-up band that is a show in itself! It's the must-see show of our Summer that you don't want to miss!

The cast of MOTORCITY MAGIC will feature: Denny Mendes, Donald McCall, Arthur Jefferson, Steven Wood and Evelyn Dillon.

MOTORCITY MAGIC will perform on Wednesday, August 13 at 7:30pm, Thursday, August 14 at 2:00 and 7:30pm;Friday, August 15 at 7:30pm, Saturday, August 16 at 2:00pm and 7:30pm, Sunday, August 17 at 1pm and 5:30pm,Wednesday, August 20 at 7:30pm, Thursday, August 21 at 2:00pm and 7:30pm; Friday, August 22 at 7:30pm,Saturday, August 23 at 2:00pm and 7:30pm and Sunday, August 24 at 1pm at the Laguna Playhouse, 606 N. Laguna Canyon Rd. in Laguna Beach.
