Amidst the current national conversations pertaining to privilege, systemic racism, anger and fear, the timely and relevant new play, LET The Devil TAKE THE HINDMOST, premieres at the SoHo Playhouse (15 Vandam Street) August 12- August 23th as part of the New York International Fringe Festival.
Set in Washington D.C. 1969, the production eerily echoes our current U.S. cultural and political climate. It delves deep into stereotypes about the "angry black woman" and how anger is evaluated through the lens of privilege, devaluing individuals' purpose of anger.

The Devil TAKE THE HINDMOST is set in 1969 Washington DC. Vera, an African American math teacher, and her husband Pablo, a Latino Art History Professor, attempt to make sense of a violent decade, their rocky marriage, and what the future holds for their politically active daughter.
