Kristin Chenoweth & Cheyenne Jackson to Celebrate New Year's Eve at Dr. Phillips Center

Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts announced today a New Year's Eve Celebration presented by Dr. Phillips Charities starring Kristin Chenoweth with special guest Cheyenne Jackson. Chenoweth will ring in the New Year live onstage of the Walt Disney Theater. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday, September 11. The doors to the December 31, 2015 performance will open at 8 p.m. with the show starting at 10 p.m. and after-party in the lobbies of the arts center until 2:00 a.m. January 1, 2016.

Tickets start at $110 and include: show, two drink tickets, champagne at intermission, party favors, after-party entertainment and after-party desserts. Tickets may be purchased by calling the Dr. Phillips Center Box Office at 844.513.2014 or by visiting the Box Office at 445 Magnolia Avenue, Orlando, FL 32801 Monday - Friday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. and Saturday 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. or online at drphillipscenter.org. Kristin Chenoweth, an Emmy and Tony Award winning actress and singer, has a career that effortlessly spans film, television, voiceover and stage.

She received an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her work on the ABC series Pushing Daisies (Pushing Daisies was also nominated for a Golden Globe Award and Emmy Award for "Best Television Series - Musical or Comedy.") Chenoweth lit up the stage of McKinley High as a former student who returned to town with more than the baggage from her flight, on Fox's hit comedy, Glee. In her role as Glee's quirky ex-songstress, April Rhodes, she was nominated for two Emmy Awards and a People's Choice Award in the category of "Favorite TV Guest Star." Though Kristin has often come into our living rooms on hit shows such as The West Wing (where she starred as Annabeth Schott), she may be most remembered by Broadway lovers everywhere for her origination of the role of Glinda the Good Witch in Wicked, which earned her a Tony Award Nomination, and her Tony-winning performance in You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown, for which she stole the show and many hearts in the process. In July, Kristin received the coveted star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame in the category of live performances on stage or in theatre.

Chenoweth recently made her return back to Broadway, playing the glamorous film star, Lily Garland, in the Roundabout Theatre Company's On the Twentieth Century, which has received rave reviews. Kristin's performance earned her the following awards: Drama Desk Award, Outer Critics Circle Award and Broadway.com Audience Choice Award. She has also earned nominations for the following awards: Tony Award in the category "Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical" and a Drama League Award. Earlier this year, she co-starred in the Universal film The Boy Next Door, alongside Jennifer Lopez. She was also seen in the film A Bet's A Bet (International title: The Opposite Sex.) Chenoweth was recently seen in the Disney Channel's live-action original movie Descendants, where she played the classic Sleeping Beauty villain Maleficent. Disney's Descendants became the #5 cable TV movie in history with 12.2 million viewers in its premiere and released a hit soundtrack, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart and peaked at #1 on the iTunes album chart.

Featured with Chenoweth is Cheyenne Jackson, an actor, singer, and songwriter. In the fall of 2012, he starred on Broadway opposite Henry Winkler, Ari Graynor, and Alicia Silverstone in David West Read's play The Performers. He also appeared in Steven Soderbergh's movie Behind The Candelabra, a Liberace biopic, with Michael Douglas and Matt Damon as well as the NBC TV pilot Mockingbird Lane. On and Off Broadway, Jackson has starred in 8, Finian's Rainbow (Drama Desk nomination), Damn Yankees, Xanadu (Drama League and Drama Desk nominations) The Agony & the Agony, All Shook Up (Theater World Award, Drama League, Outer Critics Circle nominations) the premiere cast of Altar Boyz, Aida, Thoroughly Modern Millie, On the 20th Century, and The 24 Hour Plays. On television, he has recently signed on to Ryan Murphy's fifth season of American Horror Story. Jackson can previously be seen on NBC's 30 Rock portraying series regular Danny Baker, and he portrayed Dustin Goolsby, the new coach of Vocal Adrenaline on the TV series Glee. Other television credits include Family Practice, Life on Mars, Ugly Betty, It Takes a Village, Curb Your Enthusiasm, CSI, Full Circle, and Local Talent.
