Joey Medina & Karen Rontowski Set for Flappers Claremont This Weekend

Flappers Comedy Club Claremont presents a double-hitter Mother's Day weekend starring Joey Medina on Friday, May 8 and Saturday, May 9, and Mother's Day medium Karen Rontowski on Sunday, May 10.

Joey Medina (ORIGINAL LATIN KINGS OF COMEDY, CHOLO COMEDY SLAM, COMEDY CENTRAL), a former professional boxer from the Bronx, pulls no punches when joking about his romantic misadventures, his Puerto Rican heritage, and his own insecurities. He's a veteran of over 50 television appearances, including his own SHOWTIME Comedy Special, titled "Joey Medina: Taking Off The Gloves." He also hosted his own morning radio show in Los Angeles on KXOL 96.3 FM. Recently, he toured alongside Russell Peters in New Zealand and Australia, where he performed in front of over 36,000 fans. Medina performs Friday, May 8 at 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM, and Saturday, May 9 at 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM.

Comedian and medium Karen Rontowski (LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN, BOB & TOM RADIO SHOW, SUPERNATURAL JUNKYARD) delivers an upbeat, optimistic, and clean sense of humor that has earned her headlining spots all over the world. A professional with tarot cards, she will be reading an audience member's tarot and explaining what the cards mean in a humorous way. Often described as a "new age hippie," Rontowski says "there is no time like the present to be living in the past." Rontowski performs Sunday, May 10 at 7:00 PM (Mother's Day)
