Jay Armstrong Johnson, Ciara Renee & More Join BROADWAY SINGS BRUNO MARS

After a sold-out stint at The Cutting Room, the BROADWAY SINGS concert series will reprise their latest installment, Broadway Sings Bruno Mars, at the Highline Ballroom on July 20th at 7pm. Some of Broadway's current, brightest talents will again sing completely brand new arrangements of the hits of funk superstar, accompanied by a full band playing original orchestrations. Previous artists honored in the series include Adele, Michael Jackson, Beyoncé, Stevie Wonder, Amy Winehouse, Justin Timberlake, and P!NK. This October, the series will continue with Broadway Sings Sara Bareilles.

New to the lineup are Matt DeAngelis (Once, Hair), Jay Armstrong Johnson (On the Town, Hair), Leigh Ann Larkin (A Little Night Music, Gypsy), and Ciara Renée (Pippin, Big Fish), who will join the previously announced Tony winner Lena Hall (Hedwig, Kinky Boots), Corey Cott (Gigi, Newsies), Abby Mueller (Kinky Boots), Nick Rashad Burroughs (Kinky Boots), Gerard Canonico(American Idiot, Spring Awakening), Max Chernin (Brooklynite), John Arthur Greene (Matilda the Musical, West Side Story),Alison Luff (Matilda the Musical, Mamma Mia!), Corey Mach (Hands on a Hardbody, Godspell), Gabrielle Reid (Beautiful, Hairspray), Zak Resnick (Mamma Mia!), Marisha Wallace (Aladdin, Something Rotten), Michael Wartella (Wicked), Alan Wiggins(Beautiful, The Lion King), and Devon Lavinia Yates.

The concert will feature cover songs to celebrate the pop singer's iconic songs, including "Uptown Funk", "Grenade", "When I Was Your Man", and "Just the Way You Are". The music will be orchestrated and arranged by Joshua Stephen Kartes.
