ImprovBoston hosts 18 of New England's most talented college improv teams in the 10th Annual College Comedy Festival. From February 19-21, ensembles from schools including Boston College, Boston University, MIT, Dartmouth College, University of Maine and more engage in friendly competition and develop their improvisational comedy skills. While at ImprovBoston, teams participate in improvisation workshops with ImprovBoston's own faculty alongside internationally renowned guest improvisers, attend industry panel discussions, build career connections and showcase their talents. The festival is open to the general public and features over five shows each night in the theater's two professional stages.

ImprovBoston's College Comedy Festival has been supporting university-level comedy since 2005, building bridges within the college improv community. It began as a tournament-style competition and now focuses on developing comedy skills and expanding networking opportunities for students. The festival includes an Olympic-style competition in which each team participates in 3 rounds of judged comedy and performs one non-competitive showcase show. The festival also includes workshops led by ImprovBoston cast members, guest artists and faculty, as well as a panel discussion from industry professionals and ImprovBoston faculty, providing students invaluable advice about pursuing a career in comedy and gives a sneak peak into the inner workings of an established comedy theater.

Mac Gostow, an executive producer of the College Comedy Festival shares, "I performed in the festival in college and made some lifelong connections, met incredible people, and walked away with increased knowledge of the art of improvisation. With 18 teams, this year's festival is bigger than ever before and I'm thrilled for the opportunity to give back to students."

The College Comedy Festival takes place at ImprovBoston from February 19-21. Competition and showcase rounds take place on Thursday and Friday and the finals are on Saturday night. Tickets and more information can be found online at http://www.improvboston.com/ccf.
