The Phoenix Theater Ensemble is presenting both Improv 4 Kids (Saturdays 9/21 & 9/28 at 11am) and LMAO Off-Broadway (Saturday 9/28 at 10pm) from Improv Comedy Troupe EIGHT IS NEVER ENOUGH. Back in 2002-2004, Eight Is Never Enough got its start playing small theaters in the Village (East, West & Greenwich). Back then the troupe would be scene off nights at the Wings, Horse Trade, Under St Marks, E3 Art Gallery and even a weekly series on Avenue A at a great Asian Fusion bar that sadly no longer exists. After a few shows at the old Boston Comedy Club, New York Comedy Club and even Gotham, the show found a home at Times Square clubs with long runs at the NY Improv, Laugh Factory New York, and currently at the Broadway Comedy Club. Form 2009-2011 LMAO Off Broadway ran under AGVA contract at the Midtown theater. The show now tours Colleges, Theaters and private / corporate events Nationwide. The educational outreach program tours shows, workshops and residencies K-12 schools, camps, libraries and events.

Improv 4 Kids (Saturday 9/21 & 9/28 11am; $10 tickets) gets the whole family into the show. Imagine if WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY was produced by Nickelodeon.... Bring your cameras to get memorable shots of your kids on stage. Everyone in the family loves the interactive games and music created on the spot.

LMAO Off-Broadway (Saturday 9/28 10pm; $20 tickets) is a fast paced, high energy improvised sketch and musical revue based on audience suggestions. Top scandals, news and pop culture icons are lampooned. Recent shows have included scenes based on "Crisis In Syria", Mylie Cyrus at the VMAs (Twerk This!) and the Media's bizarre covering of both. Come be a part of the show!
