LETHAL WEAPON may resurface nearly 30 years it originally made its debut.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Fox has given a put pilot commitment to the project, based upon the 1987 film starring Mel Gibson and Danny Glover. Three sequels were eventually released, with the pair returning.

Hailing from Warner Bros. and FOREVER's Matt Miller, the TV version of LETHAL WEAPON is officially described as:

"When Texas cop and former Navy SEAL Martin Riggs suffers the loss of his wife and baby, he moves to Los Angeles to start anew. There, he gets partnered with LAPD detective Roger Murtaugh, who, having recently suffered a "minor" heart attack, must avoid any stress in his life."
