FX Networks, the leading destination for blockbuster features, has secured the exclusive worldwide television rights to Jurassic World after it broke box office records, unseating Marvel's The Avengers as the highest-grossing opening weekend movie ever, grossing $208.8 million in its debut. Starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, the thriller is the latest box office #1 to be acquired for television by FX Networks and its suite of networks - FX, FXX and FXM.

The news comes after FX Networks secured the television rights to Furious 7, which has grossed over $1.5 billion in worldwide box office revenue, as well as Pitch Perfect 2. Prior to that, FX Networks licensed Taken 3, which topped the box office in January, and the surprise February hit Kingsman: The Secret Service.

As an aggressive buyer of major box office hits, FX Networks has established itself as the leading destination for blockbuster features and movies with wide audience appeal. In 2014, FX Networks licensed 64% of all of the year's features that grossed more than $100 million at the box office.
