Don't Tell Mama continues to foster the development of new musicals in their ongoing series, under the direction of Max Friedman, with a staged reading of Noel Carey & Ryan McGovern's new musical THE SHOWMEN.

The 9:30 PM concert features the talents of Broadway starlets Emily Skeggs (Fun Home) and Julia Mattison (Godspell), Murder For Two's Jeremiah Ginn, and Dear Evan Hansen's Will Roland, as well as Brittany Proia and Sam Simahk. KJ Morton serves as the stage manager.

Noel Carey (Music & Lyrics) is a New York based actor, composer and lyricist. His work has been featured at Barrington Stage, le Poisson Rouge, Rockwood Music Hall, Feinstein's/54 Below and in the upcoming series Life Sucks and Brooklyn Sound. Noel is a member of the BMI Musical Theatre Workshop and recipient of the 2013 Harrington Award. He can currently be seen performing in the national tour of Murder for Two.

Ryan McGovern (Book, Additional Lyrics) is a writer-performer who's musical comedy web series A New Musical and Roo-ining Christmas were featured as official selections in the 2015 Independent Television & Film Festival. In addition to regularly producing content for his musical comedy YouTube channel, RooMcGoo, Ryan has served as librettist for The Idol Show and over a dozen shows in the Theatre Lab at The Play Group Theatre. McGovern has served as a creative consultant for The Swingaroos, Andrea Prestinario, and many other cabarets acts from Boston to Florida. Instagram/Twitter: @RooMcGoo

Max Friedman (Director) is a theater & cabaret director with a focus on contemporary musical theatre.
