Diana Angelina Wins L.A. Weekly Theater Award for REMEMBRANCE at Theatre Forty

Veteran theatre actress, Diana Angelina has won the L.A. Weekly Theater Award for Best Leading Female Performance for her role in "Remembrance", a play by Graham Reid at Theatre Forty. The 2014 L.A. Weekly Theater Awards took place last night at Exchange L.A.

Diana has also been nominated for her performance in "Remembrance" by Broadway World. She received an award from Grigware Reviews and a Scenie Award for 'Best Ensemble' for "Remembrance", which was directed by Tim Byron Owen.

Diana was most recently seen in Stephen Metcalfe's "The Tragedy of the Commons" at Ruskin Group Theatre. Diana has appeared in numerous productions on Los Angeles Stages. Some favorites include "Mr. Williams and Miss Wood", "Cages", "The Stronger", "Cherry Soda Water", "Happening In The City" and "Father's Day." Past performances at Theatre Forty include "Could I Have This Dance" and "The Voysey Inheritance."

Television credits include "General Hospital", "The Young and the Restless" and MTV. She has appeared in film, commercials and voice-overs for animated projects. She also does Standup Comedy and has hosted over 500 Comedy Shows at J.R.'s Comedy Club in Valencia, where she opened for Larry Miller, Craig Shoemaker and Dave Coulier.

Diana is a member of The Group Repertory, Ruskin Group Theatre Co. and Theatre Forty. Angelina serves on their Artistic Committee. Diana Angelina is repped by Samantha Botana at Scott Sanders Entertainment.
