Following two BroadwayWorld Awards, rave reviews, and 4 years of packed houses at LA's Comedy and Magic Club in Hermosa Beach, Dennis McNeil and Ed Martel are finally bringing what they do best to New York's landmark Metropolitan Room for one night only, Wednesday, January 28 at 9:30PM.

Following an invitation from Club Owner and Founder, Mike Lacey, McNeil and Martel have been entertaining almost monthly since 2011, usually opposite former Tonight Show Host, Jay Leno. "Every month is a different show, and we've developed a loyal following because they know they are going to hear something familiar and something new each and every month and always have fun. Our challenge is keeping it fresh." says McNeil, having a seemingly endless repertoire of songs at the tip of his tongue and always learning new material. McNeil draws from the Great American Song Book, Broadway, Pop, even Opera, and every March he packs the house with his collection of Irish Ballads and stories.

McNeil's latest collaboration with Martel is his CD release entitled "About Time" which features songs of Van Morrison, Hal David/Burt Bacharach, Leonard Cohen, John Bucchino, Henry Mancini, Sammy Cahn, and Charlie Chaplin to name a few; so he covers a lot of ground in a short period of time.

McNeil was awarded BroadwayWorld's "Best Male Cabaret Artist" in Los Angeles in both 2011 and 2012 and the Los Angeles City Council voted him "Irishman of the Year" for his many Irish performances and community service.

Cabaret Scenes calls Dennis "a listener's dream. He sings standards the way they were meant to be sung, utilizing his sweet, powerful tenor voice to sing melodies pretty close to the way they were written. ...McNeil sets the bar very high on these standards, with perfect delivery, definitive and authoritative phrasing and articulate diction." -Elliot Zwiebach.

Over his 25 plus year career, McNeil has entertained 5 United States Presidents and many other dignitaries and state heads. He has performed with the Blue Man Group, Condoleezza Rice, Steve Miller, Lionel Ritchie, John Raitt, Michael Feinstein, Bruce Hornsby, and even the Grateful Dead. A National Winner of the famed Met Auditions, he was an Opera Leading Man in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New Orleans, Berlin, and New York and has headlined at Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center, LA's Music Center, not to mention the US Supreme Court and a Presidential Inauguration. He toured with legendary lyricist, Sammy Cahn as well as concerts and tours with famed composer and jazz legend, Lalo Schifrin. He also produced and performed a show with Sally Kellerman, Paul Williams and Lyricist Hal David honoring David for his lifetime contribution to popular music and 90th birhday. He has also recorded 8 CDs.

Pianist, Arranger, and Music Director, Ed Martel toured with Englebert Humperdink as his Music Director, also Fred Travelina and currently works with Judy Norton (Mary Ellen on the Waltons), Sally Kellerman (Major Houlihan on Mash), Mellissa Manchester, Robert Davi, and many others.
