Decadent Theatre Company, in association with the Arts Council and the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, are delighted to announce a six-week tour of Martin McDonagh's award-winning, The Pillowman. Following standing ovations in theatres across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland in 2015, this production marks the second national tour of this dark but brilliant tragicomedy.

The Pillowman, winner of two Tony Awards and Olivier Award for Best New Play, engages the audience through the police interrogation of a young writer and the fantastical tales he creates. The uneasy laughter provoked by McDonagh's gift for comedy never overrides the emotions of fear and pity felt for the young writer's plight. McDonagh's storytelling skill, combined with the Decadent's stellar cast and creative team, will keep the audience on the edge of their seat to the very last line.

The Pillowman will feature the wonderful dramatic talents of Peter Gowen as Topolski, Diarmuid Noyes as Katurian, Owen Sharpe as Mikael, and Gary Lydon who will reprise his critically acclaimed role as Ariel. The show is directed by Andrew Flynn with an award winning creative team consisting Owen MacCarthaigh (set design), Carl Kennedy (sound design), Ciaran Bagnall (lighting design) and Petra Breathnach (costume design).
