Dan Bakkedahl and Ed Furman Return for TRAINWRECK at The Second City Tonight
After an eight year hiatus, The Second City is excited to present a one night special performance of "Trainwreck," featuring Second City alumni Dan Bakkedahl and Ed Furman tonight, February 25, at 8:00pm in The Second City e.t.c. Theatre (2nd floor of Piper's Alley). "Trainwreck" is a completely improvised play created from a single audience suggestion.
About the Cast:
Dan Bakkedahl is a veteran of The Second City Stages and Touring Companies. In the years since his departure from The Second City, he has appeared on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" and numerous other guest spots on T.V. and in film. Most recently he has been seen alongside Melissa McCarthy and Sandra Bullock in "The Heat" and pissing off Julia Louis-Dreyfus in "Veep." But if you really want to make him happy, watch him in "Legit" on FXX.
Chicago native Ed Furman is a founding member of the Annoyance Theater where he co-created numerous shows including "Co-ed Prison Sluts" and "Donkey Improv." He is an alumni of The Second City Mainstage and has co-authored the shows "Rod Blagojevich: Superstar!," "Rush Limbaugh: the Musical," and "Lanyard Skynerd" with TJ Shanoff. Ed has written city specific shows for Second City Theatricals for cities including Dallas, Pittsburgh, and Philadelphia. He is part of the duo "Trainwreck" with Dan Bakkedahl and author of the one-act play "Doublewide Lust." He currently resides in Milwaukee for some reason.
