ComedySportz Houston to Celebrate 23rd Anniversary with Benefit for The Rose, 11/9
ComedySportz will celebrate its twenty-third anniversary in Houston with a benefit for The Rose on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 8:00pm. The performance will showcase all members of the current ComedySportz troupe as well as former ComedySportz players from all over the country.
"ComedySportz has long believed in the healing power of humor and in giving back to the community," says owner Dianah Dulany. In addition to giving out hundreds of free tickets every year to charitable organizations, ComedySportz also chooses one organization to raise money for through an annual Silent Auction. The Rose has been selected for the fourth year in a row. "As a breast cancer survivor, I know that early detection is crucial. The Rose makes that possible for so many women who otherwise might lose the battle of their life because they just weren't able to get checked." Dulany says.
The Rose is the Houston area's leading 501(c)(3) non-profit breast cancer organization providing mammography screening, diagnosis, access to treatment, and support to all women regardless of their ability to pay. For more information about The Rose, visit therose.org.
Tickets for the show and silent auction are $25.00 and include champagne and dessert. Net proceeds from the Silent Auction will benefit The Rose.
