Comedy Works has announced many stand up comedy shows for the rest of 2009. 

Tickets for Comedy Works are on-sale now at comedyworks.com, 720.274.6800, or in person at the Comedy Works South box office open 10 am - 6 pm Monday thru Friday. Tickets are subject to a service and handling fee. Two drink or food item minimum in the club. Tracy Morgan

October 16 - 17

Morgan is currently one of the stars of the hit show 30 Rock. He joined the cast of Saturday Night Live in 1996 where he performed as a regular until 2003. Tracy performed a variety of characters on the program including Brian Fellow, Dominican Lou, Bishop Don "Mack" Donald (from Pimp Chat), and Astronaut Jones. He has a Comedy Central special entitiled One Mic and was the host of the first Spike Guys' Choice Awards. He can be heard as Spoonie Luv on the Comedy Central program Crank Yankers and appeared as a transvestite inmate in the movie The Longest Yard starring Adam Sandler.
This show is rated as extreme in its potential offensive nature. This show is very, very dirty.

Ron G is blazing a trail as one of the hottest upcoming comedians in LA. He began his stand up career in Atlanta, GA, and was crowned 1st place winner of the 2005 Sierra Mist Late Night Laff Off. After moving to Los Angeles to further his career as a comedian and actor, he was a finalist on the new hit TV show Bill Bellamy's "Who's Got Jokes" and was also a finalist on the most recent season of NBC's Last Comic Standing. If that wasn't enough, on his very first commercial audition, he booked a gig as the national Spokesperson for Checker's & Rally's Restaurants. Ron G says, "I want to represent the new generation of comedians that get overlooked. I'd like to show the world the new generation is just as funny, clever and talented." Watch out...Ron G is destined to be the next Great King of Comedy! Norm MacDonald

Perhaps best known for his offbeat delivery of the "fake news" on Saturday Night Live for five seasons, Norm Macdonald is a major comedic presence. Aside from his notable characterizations of Bob Dole and Burt Reynolds, Macdonald proved that his acerbic wit and writing were not to be contained to just the small screen. Macdonald starred in the film Dirty Work, which he also co-wrote; and, as the voice of Lucky the Dog in the Eddie Murphy hit, in Dr. Doolittle. Macdonald was also seen in Billy Madison with Adam Sandler, and in Milos Foreman's Academy Award-nominated The People Vs. Larry Flint.


Bob Marley

Originally from Maine, Bob Marley began performing stand up comedy in his hometown of Portland. He moved to Boston early in his career, gaining experience in a city known for spawning comedy all-stars. Marley continually proves he is no exception to the tradition. He quickly became a New England favorite, headlining his own shows. After making his first television appearance on Comedy Central, he's become a regular stand-up on many shows, including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Late Show with David Letterman, and Late Night with Conan O'Brien.


Dom Irrera

Dom Irrera has performed on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Recent credits include a Comedy Central Presents stand-up special. Irrera was a series regular on the '98 Fox comedy Damon starring Damon Wayans and his guest-star credits include Seinfeld (he played an annoying prop comic needling Jerry in the memorable episode), Becker, Everybody Loves Raymond and King of Queens.

Jay Mohr's career has spanned over a decade following his various stints on Saturday Night Live and breakthrough film roles in blockbuster hits Jerry Maguire and Picture Perfect. On television, Mohr created, executive produced, and hosted Last Comic Standing. Additionally he is the executive producer and host of the ESPN series Mohr Sports, an original comedy/music/sports talk hour, continuing to sell out venues across the country with his stand-up. Currently, he stars in CBS' Gary Unmarried, hosts FOX Sports Net's NFL This Morning and is the narrator of the award-wining Beyond the Glory.

A stand-up comic at his roots, Tom was a writer and executive producer for the hit television series Roseanne. He went on to star in his own HBO special entitled Tom Arnold: The Naked Truth, and then wrote, produced, and starred in his own television series The Jackie Thomas Show, Tom, & The Tom Show. As a writer, producer, and actor, Tom Arnold has established himself to both television and film audiences worldwide having won such awards as the Peabody Award and a Golden Globe Award. Additionally, he helped put Fox Sports Network on the map with his hosting duties on Best Damn Sports Show Period. He's been seen in such films as Nine Months with Hugh Grant, True Lies with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Hero with Dustin Hoffman, & Austin Powers with Mike Myers.


Phil Palisoul

After the taping of Premium Blend on Comedy Central, Phil was selected by the network to perform at their corporate-sponsored events. You may have seen him on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno or as a standout performer at the HBO Aspen Comedy and Arts Festival. Phil has distinguished himself as one of the bright young stars of comedy. Catch him on his way up.


Troy Baxley

Chuck Roy's 10th Anniversary Show

Chuck Roy celebrates ten years of Fat Tire Beers and telling jokes at Comedy Works. You may know Chuck as that mouthy Bear that makes fun of Highlands Ranch. Since 1999 Chuck's created the Crop Report, hosted Film on the Rocks at Red Rocks Amphitheater and scored as a semi-finalist on Last Comic Standing. For a great night of entertainment join us for the Bear's 10th Anniversary as Chuck hosts an all-star comedy showcase of friends including Hippieman, Dr. Kevin Fitzgerald, Louis Johnson, Lori Callahan and Steve McGrew.


Dr. Kevin Fitzgerald

You may know Dr. Kevin Fitzgerald as the star of Animal Planet's Emergency Vets, but there is much more to him than what has been seen on television. In addition to his duties as a full-time veterinarian, Dr Fitzgerald has also been performing stand-up comedy on an almost nightly basis since 1986. His rapid paced, one-liner style, combined with his ability to entertain without offending, have made him a highly requested act at clubs, colleges and corporate events throughout the country.


Ben Roy

Ben Roy is one of the fastest up and coming comics the Denver comedy scene has to offer. Fast paced, witty, and opinionated, he is poised to take the entertainment industry by storm with his unique blend of rant, sarcastic, observational, and high-energy humor. Recently featured in the book 'Mock Stars: Indie Comedy and the Dangerously Funny', alongside comedy greats Patton Oswalt, Maria Bamford, and Fred Armisen, author John Wenzel described him as, "gloriously erratic, mixing Louis Black's quivering indignation with Bill Hicks' vitriol and David Cross's unapologetic misanthropy". The Onion A.V. Club said "he's like a skinny, punk-rock Sam Kinison". Ben is also a member of ‘Wrist Deep Productions'; hosts of the wildly popular and controversial show ‘Los Comicos Super Hilariosos'. He has been a finalist in several local and national competitions, was selected to perform at the Boston Comedy Festival, and performs regularly at the Denver Comedy Works

Colorado Youth for a Change Benefit

Come celebrate our 5th successful year of helping high school dropouts return to school. Over the last several years Colorado has averaged between 15,000 and 18,000 students dropping out of school each year, with Denver Public Schools losing between 3,500 and 4,000 each year. You can make a difference. Join us for a fun filled evening while at the same time supporting Colorado Youth for a Change (CYC) with its mission to find effective solutions to the dropout crisis. Once again Comedy Works has partnered with CYC to put on an amazing evening of fun, laughter and entertainment. Who will be performing? National headliner Kathleen Madigan, local comedian Chuck Roy and club owner Wende Curtis!! What does the Benefit include? A silent auction, live stand-up comedy, complimentary signature hors d'oeuvres from local restaurants, complimentary wine tasting, and outdoor decks overlooking the mountains and city!
