Comedian Rob Schneider Prefers Stand Up

Rob Schneider's first stand-up special, Soy Sauce and the Holocaust, comes to Netflix this month. In it, he gets personal about his life, as a father, husband, and more.

About current topics, he says, "In my opinion, it's kind of a dark time in America. People want to hear what other people think about it. Comedy is a very subversive and powerful art form. I want to be a good manipulator, kind of convert them and pervert them to my point of view."

Although he is known for his movies, Deuce Bigalow, The Hot Chick, The Animal, Big Daddy, and more, Schneider says he prefers stand up these days.

Read an article here about how terrible he was when he first tried stand up, saying, "I sucked when I first started again. When I did my first 45 minutes, I gave people their money back. I have no problem admitting that."

In addition to performing stand up, Schneider is also working on a TV series he's shopping to networks.
