Comix at Foxwoods will host Esquire Network's, "Best Bars In America" co-host and hilarious stand-up comedian, Jay Larson for a three-night, four-performance event beginning on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. and ending with his "Nasty Show" on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 10:30 p.m.

Since 2001, Jay Larson, a Stoneham, MA native, has become a master of the stand-up craft and has distinguished himself as a quick-witted innovative voice, with hint of a Boston accent, delivering a unique perspective on comedy. In 2005 Larson was invited to "The Montreal Comedy Festival" as a "New Face," which was Larson's official coming out party. Later that year he made his network television debut on "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson." In 2006 Larson performed on "The Late Late Show" for a second time and made his first appearance on Comedy Central's, "Live at Gotham."

Following his late night TV and Comedy Central appearances, Larson moved to New York to hone his stand-up craft; he ended up making short films. In 2008 Larson signed on with Comedy Central's "Atom Films" to make five short features - his five films were released with rave reviews. Though his attention had turned to filmmaking, Larson never let stand-up go, and in 2011, he performed his own half-hour special on Comedy Central, starred in his first feature film, "Nacho Mountain" and released his first comedy album "Self Diagnosed."

With all of the noise Larson had been making in the comedy world, he was invited to perform "Conan," in late 2011. However, it would be his second appearance in 2012 that truly catapulted Larson career into another stratosphere. That second appearance on "Conan" went viral within minutes - receiving over a million hits in a single day - and climbed to number one on Reddit's hit list.

Following the tidal wave of exposure, Larson was commissioned to write, produce, direct and act in a series of short films for FOX. Since then Larson has become a household name as he's appeared on "Conan" for a third time; performed on "Last Call with Carson Daly" and Comedy Central's; "This Is Not Happening;" co-hosts the wildly popular "CrabFeast" podcast; co-starred in the thriller, "The Invitation," which made it's world premiere at SXSW in 2015.

Currently, Larson can be seen as the co-host of the wildly popular travel show "Best Bars in America" on Esquire Network. "Best Bars in America" chronicles Larson and fellow comedian Sean Patton's travels across America where they predictably make frequent pit stops at watering holes along the way. The duo shows no discrimination as to which establishment will get their attention for the day, as destinations rang from hole-in-the-wall dives to sweet swanky hives.
