Two of today's top comedians will create a laughing riot this October at The Ridgefield Playhouse. On Saturday, the 5th, Colin Quinn's Unconstitutional tackles 226 years of American Constitution calamities -- from predator drones to the Kardashians. The HBO hit Curb Your Enthusiasm's Richard Lewis will show why Comedy Central lists him as one of the top 50 stand-up comedians of all time on Friday, October 18, with special guest Mike Jacobs, whose edgy brand of observational comedy is sidesplitting. Both shows kick off at 8 p.m. Bissell House (378 Main Street, Ridgefield) will pour a free glass of house wine or draft beer with dinner the night of the Richard Lewis show when tickets/stubs are presented. Media sponsor is i95fm The Home of Rock 'n' Roll. These events are part of the Clark Construction Comedy Series.

On May 25, 1787, fifty-five delegates in wigs and tights sat down to create a country from scratch. Fast-forward to 2013, and 226 years of American Constitutional calamities reviewed as only Colin Quinn can. He covers everything from political secrets to the life of the rich and famous and pulls no punches in doing so.

Richard Lewis was on GQ Magazine's list of the "20th Century's Most Influential Humorists". He is arguably the originator of the phrase "The XX from hell" as in "The date from hell" or "The roommate from hell". His current role on Larry David's acclaimed Curb Your Enthusiasm is a character based on himself. In 1989, Lewis achieved a very personal goal: He performed at Carnegie Hall to a standing room only audience. "Richard Lewis may just be the Franz Kafka of modern day comedy," praised Mel Brooks.

For tickets ($50 Colin Quinn, $65 Richard Lewis), call the box office at 203-438-5795, or visit ridgefieldplayhouse.org. The Ridgefield Playhouse is a non-profit performing arts center located at 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main Street, Ridgefield, CT.
