Chip Chantry & More Set for PHILLY'S HOTTEST, YOUNG COMICS at Eagle Theatre, 10/19
Some of the region's most acclaimed comedians will perform at the Eagle Theatre in Hammonton, N.J., for a special one night only event on Saturday, October 19. The evening, titled "Philly's Hottest, Young Comics," features four comedians, including Helium Comedy Club's "Philly's Phunniest" 2013 winner, Chip Chantry.
More than 150 competitors took to the Helium Comedy Club stage in Center City Philadelphia to vie for the title. After weeks of elimination rounds, Chantry won the support of both audiences and judges to be crowned the funniest person in Philadelphia. When not performing around the country, he keeps his wit sharp by writing for various blogs and newspapers. He has been featured on Comcast, NBC and DigPhilly TV.
Hosting the evening is Eagle Theatre veteran Kevin Hurley, owner of the South Jersey based comedy group, High Note Humor. Many know Hurley for his extensive acting experience, but as a comedian he has performed in venues from Philadelphia to New York City. He also finished as a finalist in the "Philly's Phunniest" competition this year.
The Eagle Theatre's one-of-a-kind wine lounge will be open before and during the show for audience members to enjoy. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online at www.TheEagleTheatre.com. The show starts at 8 p.m. and is recommended for adults 18+. For more information, please contact the box office at (609) 704-5012.
The Eagle Theatre is a non-profit, professional AEA theatre located at 208 Vine Street in Downtown Hammonton, N.J. It is committed to the education and entertainment of audiences throughout the greater South Jersey and Philadelphia regions.
