Comedic superstar Carlos Mencia will perform at Treasure Island for one night only tonight, July 4 at 9 p.m. Guests must be 18 years or older to attend.

Mencia began his stand-up career performing at The Laugh Factory during amateur night and quickly rose to superstar status. In 2000, he released a comedy album called "Take a Joke, America" that showcased his brand of confrontational humor.

In 2002, he received a CableACE Award nomination for "Best Stand-Up Comedy Special" for his HBO special, and was featured on "Comedy Central Presents" later that year. In early 2005, "Mind of Mencia" debuted on Comedy Central, which drew an average of 1.5 million viewers. His most recent Comedy Central special, "New Territory," debuted in December 2011. Mencia appeared in Bio Network's
"Celebrity Ghost Stories" in 2012.

Mencia has released multiple CDs and DVDs featuring his stand-up performances, including "Performance Enhanced" (2008), "No Strings Attached" (2006), "Not For The Easily Offended" (2005) and "Down To The Nitty Gritty" (2004).

His acting credits include starring opposite Ben Stiller and Michelle Monaghan in 2007's "The Heartbreak Kid," and in 2010 he starred in "Our Family Wedding" with Forrest Whittaker and America Ferrara.
