CBS's FACE THE NATION is #1 Sunday Morning Public Affairs Program with Nearly 4M Viewers

CBS News' FACE THE NATION was the #1 Sunday morning public affairs program in viewers and adults 25-54 (tie), according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Feb. 7. FACE THE NATION delivered 3.98 million viewers and 1.0/05 in adults 25-54 - the demographic most important to those who advertise in news. Editor's Note: FACE THE NATION was only a half-hour due to special SUPER BOWL 50 pre-game coverage on CBS Television.

Compared to the same day last year, FACE THE NATION was up +5% in viewers (from 3.79m) and +43% in adults 25-54 (from 0.7/04).

Season-to-date, FACE THE NATION is first in viewers (3.73m) and first in adults 25-54 (0.8/04, tie). Compared to last season, FACE THE NATION is up +6% in viewers (from 3.51m) and even in adults 25-54.

The Feb. 7 broadcast featured interviews with Democratic presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT). John Dickerson also spoke with host of CBS Sports' NFL TODAY James Brown for a preview of SUPER BOWL 50 and Executive Director of the NFL Players Association DeMaurice Smith on long-term health concerns for football players.
