Bryan Callen and John Heffron will headline Comedy Works this weekend. Details below!

Bryan Callen
Comedy Works Downtown in Larimer Square
May 11 - 13

Bryan Callen got his start as an original cast member of MADtv. He went on to play numerous roles on the small and big screen including Old School, Bad Santa, Sex and the City, Entourage, Californication, 7th Heaven, King of Queens, Significant Others, CSI and Frasier.

Callen is not a famous actor but sometimes he is recognized from the roles he has taken on. He played "Bilson" on several episodes of CBS's How I Met Your Mother, was a reoccurring character on USA's In Plain Sight, and played "Captain Frank Dashell" in the short-lived but critically acclaimed MTV comedy Death Valley. Callen also played "Eddie," the Middle Eastern owner of a wedding chapel in The Hangover and "Samir," in Hangover II. His most recent roles on the big screen were in the Lion's Gate drama Warrior and the feature film Ride Along. As for recent television appearances, Callen can be seen in his recurring role as "Coach Miller" in The Goldbergs and as "Garo Kassabian" in Kingdom. Callen can also be seen on Showtime performing his stand-up special titled Man Class.

Between acting gigs Callen spends his time power lifting, taming lions, vanquishing evil and making people laugh as a stand-up comic.

John Heffron
Comedy Works South at the Landmark
May 12 - 14

Energetic and accessible, acclaimed stand-up John Heffron shares an array of relatable experiences from childhood through life as a married father. Audiences of all ages relate to his enthusiastic, hard-won wisdom, recognizing how often the path to maturity is marked by universal triumphs and failures. Rather than mock differences, the Detroit native aims to engage, connect, and enlighten.

After winning the second season of NBC's Last Comic Standing, Heffron's popularity grew tremendously. He remains one of a small handful of veteran performers to tape two separate Comedy Central specials and has an hour special, Middle Class Funny, on Netflix. Heffron has made TV appearances on The Tonight Show, Chelsea Lately and The Late Late Show.

In the podcasting realm, Heffron has guested on WTF with Marc Maron, The Joe Rogan Experience, and Ari Shaffir's Skeptic Tank. He even launched his own podcast, The State I'm In, on the All Things Comedy network. Much like his self-effacing live material, Heffron's podcast invites guests and listeners alike to explore the ever-fluctuating position they find themselves in both physically and mentally. John's four comedy albums, his Middle Class Funny DVD, and best-selling advice book I Come to You From the Future: Everything You'll Need to Know Before You Know are currently available on iTunes and Amazon.
