Here is Tony winner Ruthie Ann Miles (The King and I) singing "Disloyal Daughter" by Drew Fornarola and Scott Elmegreen.
Tiananmen is a new rock musical that follows the story of the Tiananmen Square protests in Beijing from the death of Hu Yaobang on April 15, 1989 until the Chinese army cleared the square on June 4 of that year. In this song, student activist Xirui writes a letter home to her parents explaining why, despite their urging, she cannot leave the square.

Drew Fornarola is a songwriter and playwright from New York City. He is currently developing both an animated movie and a stage musical for DreamWorks. Lately he's had the pleasure of writing songs and scenes for Chinese student activists, bisexual Bostonians, ogres, 80s video game characters, and evangelical Christian vegetables. He looks forward to whatever is coming next. B.A. Princeton, J.D. Fordham, BMI Workshop alumnus. www.drewfornarola.com
