YoungArts, the national organization that identifies and supports emerging artists, has many alumni that have made their mark on Broadway and we want to share their incredible talent with you! Come celebrate YoungArts Awareness Day with us and watch an intimate cabaret performance by some of our favorite Broadway and Musical Theater alumni directed by former Gossip Girl and current The Knick actress, Zuzanna Szadkowski. The YoungArts family has a vast range of talent and we're excited to share a taste of our presence on Broadway. We promise it will be an artistic moment you'll remember forever. Encore by popular demand! Micky Dolenz is best known as the lead singer of the hugely successful rock 'n' roll band, The Monkees, which originated from the classic sixties TV show of the same name. The Monkees sold over 65 million records and has toured the U.S. (and much of the world) many times over. Micky has also starred in musicals on Broadway, the West End, and in national tours including Disney's AIDA (Broadway), Pippin, Hairspray (West End), Grease, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Tom Sawyer, and more. Micky has recorded two solo albums (Remember and King For A Day) and recently appeared in the world premiere of the new play Comedy Is Hard (Ivoryton Playhouse) by four time Emmy winner Mike Reiss (The Simpsons). A Little Bit Broadway, A Little Bit Rock 'n' Roll is a brand new show Micky has created to combine his love of Broadway with his love for rock 'n' roll in one thrilling new intimate concert. The show will include some of the Monkees greatest hits, a few rarities and songs from musical roles he has performed and from shows he loves. ISLE OF KLEZBOS

Soulful, fun-loving powerhouse all-gal ISLE of KLEZBOS sextet plays klezmer, Yiddish swing and tango, original and classic theater specialties, and far beyond. As The New Yorker says, the group "tests the elasticity of the genre" from revelatory klezmogrified Broadway favorites to gorgeous neo-traditional retro soundtrack adaptations and Soviet Yiddish theater tunes, plus the group's own originals - including highlights from bandleader/drummer Eve Sicular's New York Times- acclaimed musical documentary J. EDGAR KLEZMER: Songs from My Grandmother's FBI Files (swinging boogie woogie, baroque, gospel and R&B too). Touring from Vienna to Vancouver since 1998, their broadcast credits range from CBS Sunday Morning to The L Word; collaborations have included projects with Jill Sobule, Kiki Smith, and Scissor Sisters. The band's latest CD Live From Brooklynmade New York Music Daily's Best Albums of 2014, described as "deliriously fun" as well as "brilliant, intense, eclectic." Time Out lauds the group as "internationally-known and much-loved.... We'd make a joke but they beat us to it." New York Magazine says simply: "Cutting Edge Klezmer."

Hosted by Laura Heywood (@BroadwayGirlNYC), this late night trivia night features Broadway trivia of all sorts with a variety of surprises along the way. Uter-me, Uter-you, Uter-us. Join these talented new composers as they present an evening of original songs dedicated to ladies, their lady parts, and our various experiences with them. Featuring the music of Kate Anderson and Elyssa Samsel (Camp Wish-No-More, Secret of the Ron Mor Skerry), Lindsay Anderson (The Jane Goodall Experience, Branded), David Christensen (Cookies; Can You Hear Me, Betty White?) and Luke Holloway (Hansel and Gretl). Directed by Ilana Ransom Toeplitz (Violet, A Christmas Story, Reefer Madness).

SONDHEIM UNPLUGGED

BACK FOR SEASON SIX! A celebrated New York event since 2010, the BroadwayWorld and Bistro Award-winning series Sondheim Unplugged features some of Broadway and cabaret's most dynamic voices, accompanied by piano only, delving into the musical world of Broadway's master composer. Expect tunes from A Little Night Music, Company, Into the Woods, Follies, Passion, Dick Tracy, and more. Past special guests have included original Sondheim cast members such as Len Cariou, Jim Walton, Donna McKechnie, Chip Zien, and more - so you never know who might drop in. Sondheim Unplugged is hosted by series creator Phil Geoffrey Bond, who will fill the audience in on Sondheimien facts, history, and assorted tidbits of theatrical lore! Come join the party! Special guest: Sarah Rice (Sweeney Todd's original Johanna) and featuring: Jeremy Abram, Carole Demas, Jessica Hendy, Blaine Krauss, Stearns Matthews, Christ Pinnella, Julie Rayburn, Brian Charles Rooney and Lucia Spina.

THE SONGS OF MATTE O'BRIEN AND MATT VINSON

Matte O'Brien and Matt Vinson are New York based music theatre writers whose eclectic style melds an emotional fusion of folk, rock, soul, and Broadway pop. For their 54 Below concert debut, Matt and Matte bring original songs from two upcoming collaborations: the pop-rock opera CAKE, and an epic-folk adaptation of L.M. Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables. The evening also features new arrangements of songs from their musical Peter & I, which previously enjoyed a sold-out Off-Broadway run at the American Theatre of Actors as part of the Araca Project. Top Broadway vocalists accompanied by a power ensemble and live folk-rock band make this a sonic experience not to be missed.

Ariana DeBose & Kate Rockwell

For one night only, Ariana DeBose (Hamilton, Pippin) and Kate Rockwell (Rock of Ages, Hair) will join forces for an unforgettable evening of powerhouse duets at 54 Below. The two starred together in the original Atlanta, touring, and Broadway casts of Bring It On: The Musical and bring to the stage years of friendship and experience belting together. Inspired by their performances inBroadway Loves Celine Dion and Total Eclipse: The Music of Jim Steinman, the two will be joined by musical director Benjamin Rauhala for an evening that promises to contain some of the most epic and divine duets that the musical theater and pop music canon has to offer. Legendary duets by Barbra, Celine, Judy, Whitney, Mariah, and many more will be given new life as these two Broadway starlets belt their cares away. Gabrielle Stravelli's enthralling new show, her second collaboration with nightlife legend Marilyn Maye, will include tracks from her new release, Now I Know. Featuring her fearless and fresh takes on material both classic and new, this fast-paced evening will cover everything from well-loved standards like "Dream Dancing" and "Autumn Nocturne" to re-imagined pop hits such as Stevie Wonder's "You and I" to Stravelli's original compositions inspired by latin, jazz, R&B, swing and bebop. Ryann Redmond

After a sold-out 54 Below debut in February, Ryann Redmond brings her very first solo show,Ryann Redmond: Cry Me a River, back to the stage! Ryann first broke onto the scene as Bridget in the Tony nominated Bring It On the Musical for which she received abundant critical acclaim. Stephen Brown of New York Magazine raved, "As for show-stealers, well, it's a talent melee: Ryann Redmond slays us as Bridget, a nerdy, big-boned laugh-track of a cheer-wannabe who ends up with her own storyline." David Rooney of the Hollywood Reporter applaudEd Ryann's "winning comic turns." Ryann recently appeared in Broadway's If/Then and then headed to the MUNY to play Tracy Turnblad in Hairspray this past summer. Up Close And Personal will include new and unheard songs from McBroom's personal song writer trunk, plus songs by her favorite writers, among them Leonard Cohen, Judy Collins, Fran Landesman, John Bucchino, Jacques Brel, and more. McBroom is a Golden Globe winner lauded for her talent for writing exceptional songs that are witty and profound and flush with feelings. Never over-the-top, her work seethes with a passion that is artfully funneled into music and lyrics revealed so well in her two most popular songs, "The Rose" (from the Bette Midler film of the same name) and "Errol Flynn," which McBroom wrote about her father, the actor David Bruce who worked with Flynn and Gary Cooper.
