Author Albert Okura opened the first Juan Pollo chicken restaurant in 1984. Thirty years later, Juan Pollo is still going strong. Okura shares his secrets to success in his new book, "Albert Okura the Chicken Man: With a 50 year Plan" (published by AuthorHouse).

Okura is a self-proclaimed fast food junkie. His first job in the industry was in 1970 at Burger King. From there, he began dreaming of the possibility of owning his own fast food chain.

"Albert Okura the Chicken Man" details Okura's journey to discover and fulfill his destiny. He details the drive and ambition it took to make his business work. He provides business tips and visuals to draw readers in and simplify the ins and outs of business. He hopes young entrepreneurs will read this book and be inspired to pursue their dreams.

"If I can do it, you can do it," Okura says. "I have no exceptional skills or abilities. Average people can apply the same principles that I learned through my life experiences to be successful in their chosen fields."

About the Author
Albert Okura has been involved in the fast food industry as a consumer, employee, manager, or owner since McDonald's hamburgers burst upon the scene in the 1950s and 1960s. When it came time to write his own story about opportunity and potential, he did not want someone misinterpreting his thoughts so he wrote the way he runs his rotisserie chicken business - short, sweet and to the point.
