Adam Scott to Guest Star on Rashida Jones' TBS Comedy ANGIE TRIBECA

According to Entertainment Weekly, PARKS AND RECREATION's Adam Scott will soon reunite with his former co-star Rashida Jones on her upcoming TBS comedy ANGIE TRIBECA.

The series comes from Steve Carell and his wife Nancy Carell. It follows Angie Tribeca (Rashida Jones), a 10-year veteran of the LAPD, and the various members of the police department that help her solve crimes.

Scott will play "a doctor that Tribeca (Jones) encounters in a waiting room while she awaits news on her partner's condition."

Scott stars as Ben Wyatt on NBC's Emmy- and Golden Globe-nominated comedy "Parks and Recreation," which has returned for its seventh and final season.

On the big screen, Scott will next star in "Hot Tub Time Machine 2," set for release in February. He has also wrapped production on "Black Mass," opposite Johnny Depp, and "Sleeping with Other People," a romantic comedy with Jason Sudeikis, Alison Brie and Amanda Peet that premieres at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival.

Scott recently started a production company with his wife, Naomi Scott, called Gettin' Rad Productions. Together with Mark Duplass, they executive produced the comedy "The Overnight" that debuts at Sundance. Getting' Rad has produced a series of specials for Adult Swim called "The Greatest Event in Television History," and it has the option on the first novel by Chuck Klosterman, "Downtown Owl." Oren Uziel is attached as the writer.

Previously, Scott co-starred in the indie comedy "A.C.O.D." and in Ben Stiller's "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty." He also had a lead role in the romantic comedy "Friends with Kids," opposite Jon Hamm and Kristen Wiig. Additionally, he was seen in "See Girl Run," "The Guilt Trip," with Seth Rogen and Barbra Streisand, and "Bachelorette" opposite Kristen Dunst.

Scott co-starred in the Starz original series "Party Down," HBO's "Tell Me You Love Me" and had a recurring role on HBO's comedy series "Eastbound & Down."

Scott received critical acclaim for "The VICIOUS Kind," a dramedy about a man who becomes obsessed with the girlfriend that his brother brings home for Thanksgiving. He was nominated for best actor at the Indie Spirit Awards in 2010. He also won best performance at the 2009 Sidewalk Film Festival and best actor at the 2009 Strasbourg Film Festival.

Scott was seen in "Our Idiot Brother," opposite of Paul Rudd, and co-starred alongside Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly in the blockbuster comedy "Step Brothers." Scott also starred in "Passenger Side," in which he serves as an executive producer.

Other film credits include "The Aviator," alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Cate Blanchett;"August," a drama featured at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival; "Lovely, Still" with Martin Landau and Ellen Burstyn; romantic comedy "Leap Year" opposite of Amy Adams; blockbuster comedy "Knocked Up," directed by Judd Apatow; "The Great Buck Howard," opposite John Malkovich; and "Art School Confidential," directed by Terry Zwigoff.
