ROCHDALE, Mass.

Author Ron Martin revitalizes the stories of Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel, and Noah's Ark in order to draw spiritual truths in his new book, "Apples And Oranges" (published by Trafford Publishing).

Martin takes some liberties to fill in the gaps of these biblical stories, but he stays close to the heart of each tale. The book takes readers through Adam and Eve's temptation by the serpent and subsequent fall from grace, Cain's murder of his brother, and Noah's construction of the ark. He hopes that his new telling of these stories will inspire readers who might avoid or be intimidated by the Bible.

An excerpt from "Apples And Oranges":

"Apples and oranges were to be placed into the ark to prepare Noah and his family for a voyage of a lifetime. It was just beginning to make sense to him. Noah was enlightened, he had free will and he could do as he pleased, but he chose to do God's will and that's the only way that God is going to allow anyone into His kingdom."
