Following its celebrated East Coast premiere at the 2014 New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC), the critically acclaimed ABSOLUTELY FILTHY will return to NYC as part of SoHo Playhouse's FringeNYC ENCORE SERIES with performances from today, October 1st through October 5th only at SoHo Playhouse (15 Vandam Street between Varick and Spring Streets).

Tickets for ABSOLUTELY FILTHY are $18 and the performance schedule will be as follows: Wednesday, October 1st at 8pm, Friday, October 3rd at 8pm, Saturday, October 4th at 2:30pm and 9:30pm and Sunday, October 5th at 5pm. For tickets and additional information, visit www.SoHoPlayhouse.com.

Originally produced by Hollywood's infamous Sacred Fools Theatre Company, ABSOLUTELY FILTHY is directed by Jeremy Aldridge and written by Brendan Hunt. ABSOLUTELY FILTHY took NYC by storm this summer, being declared the winner of both the 2014 FringeNYC Theatermania Audience Favorite and Overall Excellence Awards. The show enjoyed an extended run in early 2013, and was bestowed with eight LA Weekly Award nominations, winning three: Best Comedy Ensemble, Best Female Comedy Performance (Anna Douglas) and Best Male Performance for star and writer Brendan Hunt. The show also received accolades during its run in last summer's Hollywood Fringe Festival, with Hunt again winning Best Actor, and the show itself taking home awards for Best Comedy and Top of the Fringe, the award for the festival's single best show.

ABSOLUTELY FILTHY centers on a homeless man (Hunt) perpetually surrounded by a cloud of dust and grime. He suddenly finds his life even more difficult to bear when he stumbles upon the funeral of his long-estranged best friend. But as he re-connects with his childhood pals, he finds he may have a shot at redemption. ABSOLUTELY FILTHY is a dark, dirty comedy that takes a look at a group of characters after they leave the funny pages and head out into the real world.

BIOS:

JAIME ANDREWS (The Ophthamologist / The Grown Woman) is elated to return to her hometown with her amazing Filthy friends. In NYC she worked with EST, trip., Women's Shakespeare Company, and on Bathsheba Doran's "15 Minutes," which went to the Edinburgh Fringe. Since moving to LA, she has done dozens of commercials, been on the cover of a "My Chemical Romance" DVD, and guest starred on "Penn & Teller: BS!" and Disney's "Crash & Bernstein." She is most recognized for the five years she spent as a commentator on TruTV's "World's Dumbest..." Like the rest of these rockstar ladies, she was nominated for an LA Weekly Award for her work in Filthy. She is a proud member - and former Managing Director - of LA's venerable Sacred Fools, where she has spent the greater part of the last decade.

CURT BONNEM (The Pop Star / Arch) Wahb-wah-wahb-wah-wah-wah...turning on the Peanuts adult to kid translator...Curt couldn't be more excited to pay homage to a childhood love than on the boards at the NY Fringe. This is Curt's 3rd Fringe experience, performing in award winning shows at the Hollywood and Edinburgh Fringe. Curt is currently a member of The Sacred Fools Theater Company in Los Angeles, the birthplace of AbFilth. Recently at the Fools, Curt brought to life the iconoclast beat writer William Burroughs in the production BILL & JOAN. Other Fools credits include: STONEFACE (LA Weekly Best Production,) A KIND OF LOVE STORY and FORBIDDEN ZONE. Other theater credits: as Tennessee Williams in KOWALSKI; as Frank Sinatra in LOUIE & KEELY...(Ovation/LAWeekly winner) at the Geffen; HOBOKEN TO HOLLYWOOD (LAWeekly Best Musical); cult hit THE BEASTLY BOMBING (LAWeekly Best Musical); and LOVELACE (LAWeekly Best Musical Ensemble). Aside from his passion for theater, Curt has been seen in several national commercials, TV shows such as CRIMINAL MINDS, and feature films. ANNA DOUGLAS (The Big Sister) Born in Toronto, Canada, raised in Nashville, Tennessee, and having moved back to her birthplace even before the official closing of the initial run of Absolutely Filthy in 2013, Anna could not think of a better reason to be called back to the States than to continue to be a part of this stellar ongoing production, cast, and crew. On stage and screen since the ripe age of 7, Anna would count "The Big Sister" as an all-time favorite not only because of her love of the Peanuts as a child, but for the growth as a performer she has had throughout this process and feels blessed to again be reprising the role that won her the 2013 LA Weekly Award for Best Female Comedy Performance, this time in New York, her Big Apple debut.
