Join A Red Orchid Theatre for an Oscar Viewing Party at Rockit Bar and Grill in honor of A Red Orchid Theatre Co-Founder Michael Shannon's Academy Award nomination. This year's Academy Awards take place on Sunday, February 26, 2017. Tickets to the Oscar Viewing Party are $20 and include entry, light bites and a drink ticket. Michael Shannon is nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role for Nocturnal Animals. This is Shannon's second nomination; he was nominated in 2009 for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role for Revolutionary Road.

"On Oscar night we will gather to watch, support and celebrate amazing work done by amazing artists and in particular by one of our family. We are so excited for Michael and know he feels the love from Chicago coming his way," says Artistic Director Kirsten Fitzgerald.

All proceeds from the event will support A Red Orchid's continued creation of some of Chicago's finest ensemble-based theatre.
