14-Year-Old Cam Anthony Signs to Dr. Dre's Aftermath Entertainment

Teen singing sensation, Cam Anthony, is preparing to take on the music world with his natural soulful R&B talent. Signed to Dr. Dre's 'Aftermath Entertainment' record label, the exceptionally-talented 14-year-old Cam Anthony is currently recording new music for his debut album.

With a passion about his craft and a desire to stay fully-engaged in the process of his career building, Cam has retained music manager Toya Hankins and her Detroit-based artist management company, Project Producers, to guide his development as an artist, handle bookings and appearances, and to provide PR, marketing and promotional support.

"What I know so far about the music industry is that to have success, it takes a lot of hard work and focus, and it has to be your main priority," said Cam Anthony. "You also have to have people representing you who have your best interests at heart, and who are knowledgeable and connected in the business. I feel like I have that with Toya and her Project Producers team. We've gotten so much accomplished in the last few months, and I'm so excited about what's to come."

Since he has been working with Project Producers, Cam has been on an accelerated course in artist development, including studio sessions, performances & appearances, photo & video shoots, media training sessions and vocal & choreography lessons.

"Cam has such a raw natural talent and his vocals are so soulful and versatile," said Toya Hankins, owner of Project Producers. "He has an innate and seemingly effortless ability to take a note, phrase or song and give it unique character. I'm thrilled to be in a position to help him navigate the music industry and to assist with the development of his music and his growth as an artist."

Cam's journey is being filmed and documented by an independent filmmaker. A series of short documentary videos will be shared on Cam's social sites, the first of which was posted last week.

Cam recently performed "Change Gonna Come" and "Glory" at the 2015 NAACP National Convention in Philadelphia, alongside some of R&B's best, including Eric Benét, Eddie Levert, Chrisette Michele and Howard Hewitt. Prior to his performance, he appeared on his first radio interview with Frankie Darcell at WDAS, Philly's R&B/Classic Soul station.

While on a visit to Detroit in July, Cam was a guest speaker at the Detroit Institute of Music Education (DIME), giving students there a glimpse into his success to this point, along with a vocal showcase. His visit to DIME was documented in a TV feature with news anchor, Rhonda Walker, on WDIV, Detroit's NBC station. Watch the segment here.

In addition to his work in the studio, Cam is also currently preparing for stage performances at the Tom Joyner Family Reunion on September 4-5 in Orlando, FL.

Prior to being signed by Aftermath Entertainment in 2014, Cam Anthony generated a great deal of support for his social media videos, including his rendition of "Ain't No Sunshine" on his Facebook page, which has currently has nearly 2M views (click here to view), and his YouTube versions of "Royals" (337k views), "It's So Hard To Say Goodbye" (185k views), "Change Gonna Come" (106k views) and many others.

The level of attention Cam received from his social media videos led to an appearance on "The Ellen Show" in 2014, two performances at the White House for President Barack Obama's Easter Egg Roll events; and as the opening act for KEM's 'What Christmas Means' Holiday concert with Patti LaBelle & Ron Isley.
