The Rhode Island Philharmonic Music School Presents Its 3rd Annual 'Free Lesson Day' Today

The Rhode Island Philharmonic Music School is offering its third annual Free Lesson Day today, December 12. Children through Adults interested in individual private lessons in violin, piano, guitar, percussion, voice and more can sample a 30-minute private lesson with one of the Music School's exceptional faculty. Parents ofbabies, toddlers and pre-schoolers can bring their child(ren) to one of three group demonstration classes of the School's Music Togetherâ program. New students of all ages and skill levels are welcome and pre-registration is required. For more information, go to musicschool.riphil.org.

Annette Mozzoni, the Philharmonic's Director of Education & the Music School said, "This is a fabulous opportunity for potential students to experience a lesson or classes with our talented teachers in our state-of-the-art music school...and what better way than for free!?" Free Lesson Day is limited to new students only. Interested students can come and meet the Music School's outstanding faculty and welcoming staff at the Carter Center for Music Education & Performance, the home of the RI Philharmonic Music School, as well as the administrative and box offices for the RI Philharmonic Orchestra. The School is conveniently located at 667 Waterman Avenue in East Providence, with easy access from I-195. 45-minute demonstration classes for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers are offered at 9:30, 10:30 or 11:30am, and individual private lessons are offered from 2 to 7pm. The majority of Philharmonic Music School programs take place at the state-of-the-art Carter Center in East Providence. Completed in 2008, the Carter Center is the largest dedicated community music school facility in New England. We also offer lessons in welcoming, well equipped environments at our East Greenwich Branch.
