THE FANTASTICKS, appearing at the Spencer Friday, Feb. 14 at 8 p.m., is the longest-running production of any kind in the world, and with good reason: at the heart of its breathtaking poetry and subtle theatrical sophistication is a purity and simplicity that transcends cultural barriers. The result is a timeless fable of love that manages to be nostalgic and universal at the same time.

Featuring clever stage craft and gossamer melodies like "Try to Remember," The Fantasticks is the perfect Valentine's treat for anyone and everyone who loves to love!

The Fantasticks is a simple, yet sophisticated fable starring Nebraska Theatre Caravan players in two acts that are packed with sumptuous, atmospherically rich "steampunk" technology, creating artistic moods and heavily steam-powered scenes. Excellent seats are available for $69 & $66. Call 575.336.4800 or go to www.spencertheater.com for tickets. A pre-performance buffet ($20) is also available at 6 p.m.
