The American Liszt Society Chicago/Midwest Chapter will be celebrating Franz Liszt's 205th birthday, with "Liszt Times Two, A Celebration of Piano Music by Franz Liszt for Four Hands", Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 7:30 pm, Nichols Concert Hall, 1490 Chicago Ave., Evanston, IL. Composer Franz Liszt (1811-1886) is known for his virtuosic pianism and his forward-looking piano compositions. Many of Liszt's compositions and transcriptions are among the most challenging pieces in the piano repertoire. This program will feature Liszt's piano duo compositions performed by some of Chicagoland's finest pianists.

Duo pianists include: Karin Redekopp and Mark Edwards; Alex Yuill and Andrew Guo; Matthew Hagle and George Radosavljevic; James and Sevgi Giles; Claire Aebersold and Ralph Neiweem; and Daniel Paul Horn and Alexander Djordjevic.

Tickets: $20 General Admission, $10 for American Liszt Society Members, FREE for Children 17 and under, and FREE for Music Institute of Chicago Students/Staff. Tickets are available online at http://LisztChicago.tix.com or at the door.
